my plan to get seeds and harvest from one plant?...

The best, and easiest way to get seeds and buds from the same auto plant is to grow some regular seeds, not fems. Take pollen from a male and use it to pollinate one or two of the lower branches on a female. When the unpollinated buds are ready, harvest them and leave the seeded branches until the seeds are fully mature.

Yes you are right Muddy...I'm doing this experiment strictly out of curiosity. It was fascinating to watch a branch with preflowers actually take root and grow, and then switch over and start producing male flowers with the C/S treatment!

Easiest way to get seeds......buy 'em!! But it's good to know about all the options too.

sounds like a good experiment, you do that and ill do this just for the hell of it and we will see what works in a while.

will the rest of the plant produce less thc though? is it the whole plant or only the pollinated bud will do that

i have read the evolutionary purpose of mj's resin is to attract insects to polinate, after it has already been pollinated it will produce less (got that from this i have been reading http://www.scribd.com/doc/14571756/The-Biotechnology-of-Cannabis-Sativa)... or forums users on google say that the plant puts all its energy into seed production... while the reason for decreased thc production might be up for grabs most sites on google seem to confirm pollinated plants produce less thc... do you say different?

anyways this is offtopic lol.
