This one is the same "day age" I still swear roots are the key to the hormone change. Think about it, nurseries pot their veggies small to get the to flower sooner, are we chasing the same sort of genetic thing here with the trigger times? Is there genetic code and hormone triggers?

:headbang: FD my brudda, I've been remiss! ..lots to oggle and catch up on here,...:pass:

... Did you order the peyote Purp's yet? Somehow, I'm not surprised our Stickfriend has already dipped into that well, and made a fab' cross!! Ditto for the PCK and Taskenti,... (@StickMan, how are these? PCK is very enticing, and I think fem's are available)...
...too bad about the Sati' twitches my friends,... I find myself craving Sati'-dom's more and more! A pity too, so few varieties are grown out and made available at dispensaries anymore these days, it's pathetic! --same shit, over and over,...it seems few want to put the $$ and time in for the less common, longer blooming strains,... no art and love anymore, all bizz!

... :woody: solo cup Stud-man is f'ing bruiser! Can you imagine the Kung-Fu he'd bust out if he was in a bigger pot? You could knock up half the West coast here! Awesome,...
Seed Mama is mighty fine too FD, such big juicy trich's, scattered all over plus resin rails down the fans! :clapper: :d5: ..... Wooow, Mamma 2 is a stunner boosh FD, she's a specimen! Outstanding grow of her, lush and shapely as they come- :bravo: You are rocking this run my friend, I'm with the rest of the guys here in awe of the size and health of them all, especially in those small pot volumes, and in soil no less :wiz:-- not coco or Promix, etc.! ....... I agree with the pot size--maturity response thing FD,.. wish I knew more about the deeper plant physiology behind this; i don't know what the feedback loop is, but without a doubt, the roots detect the space limitations, and "know" that there will be limited nutrition because of it (thinking in terms of a wild plant growing in a small pocket of soil in some rocky crag or something like this)...so the cue to hustle along and get busy ASAP with the bizz of reproducing-- and surviving to pass them genes along!

... the chili's look delish, and the flavor you describe is making salivate! I wanna just halve some and saute' in butter, just to soften them up and brown the butter a bit,...*slobber* ... lovely garden my friend, keep all this up and Ima move into your back yard! Mmm, fresh garden corn, I am mental for good corn! Between the pepp's, 'maters and corn, you'll have uber-salsa ready for Summer feasting,...:eyebrows:

Hey hey my man i know we all have lives and knew that you would get back in sometime soon. Its better sometimes to miss a few days and see what changes really have gone down.

... Did you order the peyote Purp's yet? Somehow, I'm not surprised our Stickfriend has already dipped into that well, and made a fab' cross!!

I have not ordered yet, ill actually be on the west coast this week. The wife is letting me let my hair down and i am going to visit a cousin. So i am going to see what i might be able to get my hands on while i am out there. Maybe a cut or two or even some seed would be fine with me.

Yeah i wish that i could take them but i cant. I have tried so many times to give it a shot and try this one and that one but each time, i find my self thinking that id rather be in a corner thinking about shit that isnt going to happen or trapped in my own train of thought. I hate that, freaks me out, same reason i never fucked with ACID of LSD. Scared to death of what id see..or unlock

Yeah he put out a good deal of pollen, i think i got somewhere between 2 to 3 ML of pollen, which is enough to wreck a good size crop. But i wanted a lot of it, he was colored so i will revisit him soon. Was super pleased with what i saw in him, and he had the dark purple not the royal purple. Traits ive seen in the DC dom Dragon.

why thank you my friend, i just hope that her buds are as pretty as she is, and i hope she smokes decent too. She can look great but if her buds are doo doo what is the point, right?

Cheers on the kind words too, i attribute the size and vigor to the water. Simply put its in the water, its the only thing that i put time and interest in other than breeding.. The o2, the fert schedule, the ability to read the plant and see what she needs. They are also super light feeders. Id say the last week i have only added a touch of cal/mag, MammothP, and GH Flouralicious. No FF gear for at leas 1.5 weeks, but given the health of the fans, she has plenty to eat on her own. I did notice that i got a few hammered tips with my typical feed schedule so i backed off a bit and problem went away.

Something that new growers may want to note is to just go to water at the first sign of issues. Let the plant balance and try to correct her self. Make sure that the damage is not progressing and then add what may be missing or continue to back off. Worked this run like a charm, and i still think that the cal/mag issues we see with LED are related to lockout and not a def... Guys mistake the potassium lockut for a cal/mag def and pour in the cal/mag. The overdose of the calcium is locking out the potassium the plant needs during flower and smoking the fans. I have used 1/2 to 3/4 strength this round and things look 10x better.

Now as far as the trigger, and i know that this is about to get long. But i need to hash this out, typical cannabis NEEDS a trigger to begin flower. Less light hours produces the hormone to begin the flower stage. There is nothing like that for the auto other than, from what i have seen, root depth and restriction. If this gene has adapted to a evolutionary state of flowering when the plant thinks that it has no more room, it has adapted the same trait as a typical tomato, or pepper.

When the plant become pot bound, it begins to produce flowers, when the plant is over watered it begins to produce flowers, when the plant is dried out to much it begins to produce flowers. The exact same stressers that cause typical veggies to produce flowers are the same or similar to the ones that cause AF cannabis to flower out. So i know that we are chasing a genetic trait as it shows by F3, and is that trait directly related to the evolutionary curve of typical annual plants.

Well the F2 seeds that will come off the primary mother will be ready before spring planting. So i will PM you and send you some of them. I think that they would do well in the climate that you have described to me. I want to see if i can isolate as well with peppers as i can canna.

Somehow, I'm not surprised our Stickfriend has already dipped into that well, and made a fab' cross!! Ditto for the PCK and Taskenti,... (@StickMan, how are these? PCK is very enticing,
Greetings @Waira. Sorry to say that I did not make that cross. I got them from another 'backyard' breeder friend of mine from Poland who made them. I haven't tried either the PCK or Taskenti yet. The PCK sounds like an amazing breeding tool, and great on its own for finishing for us Northern OD growers. And the Taskenti has to be great, due to the fact it is pretty much 100% Indica med strain being basically a land race. I will be reproing both of these sometime this summer indoors. So should have plenty of extra seeds.:hump:

@FullDuplex You have an awesome time over here on the left coast my friend. Hope you are able to pick up some nice cuts, or seeds.

Back to deseedng (m/f seeds) some (Black Domina auto x Red Poison auto) flowers, that I hit with some Mighty Mite reg pollen. Look forward to running some of these OD this year, and see if I can find a gem in there. The BD X RP auto is an excellent strain in itself. Nice red flowers for nighttime use only. Oh, just remembered @Waira, that you asked me if I have ran any GP FV yet. I was supposed to get some GP FV x MOB auto, but they never made it here. I will have to see if I can scrape a few $ together to buy some GP FV. Absolutely everyone I have 'talked' loves this strain, and most who have grown it once, grow it all the time now.

I will try to PM both of you later today/ tonight. When are you leaving for your trip @FullDuplex?

Peace
