hi all,
this will be my first grow.breeding journal here and hope you all like it
my goal is to get pollen from lowryder #1 so i can cross it later on with scott's og and make a new auto version with the build and auto aspects of the lowryder but getting as much of the flavour and resinous of the scott's
i have started the beans allready a month ago and had a lot of probs since but at the moment the lady's and gentlemen are doing fine and hope to achieve my goal of getting some seeds for outdoors during summer and some pollen for crossing the scott's around juli/august indoors..
first of all ill explain some of the probs i ran into so far
- when i got the seeds the package said crystal dwarfs from freedom of seeds instead of lowryder#1 regular and to be honest i still am not sure wich of the two they are. mainly cause i dont have any experience with autos and my last grow was some 13 years ago. the seed company i get them from told me the writing on the package was an error of the shipping dept. and they should be lowryder#1.
however the plants are getting really tall and i have even had to bondage the largest as it is just a few eeks into flowerring and allready at almost 50Cm's in height wich is too high for me and the smalles is onlt 15-20cm's so getting problems with lamp height.
- second problem was a strange collouring on some of the plants (will add some pics to show what i mean) that i think was a pH problem but since my pH-meter's batteries were almost empty i couldnt get a good reading and couldnt calibrate so had to take the water i use and some runoff to work and test it there... pH of the tap water was 7,8 and the runoff was about 5,3 so i flushed the plants that were having those signs and since they are doing better
- my latest problem is that some of the first leaves are yellowing allready and have spots so thinking on not eough N in my soil not sure though and dont have pics of that yet so will try to make some tonight and post em later on hoping someone can tell me what they think about it
the first beans sprouted around the 8th of april so they are about a month old now and have allready got sexes on all 5 plants (2 males and 3 females and tallest one is also female)
i have allready polinated the largest one a few days ago wich was also fastest one to show sexe with the fastest male so far.. males are also quite tall at around 40 cm's
after i polinated the first one i switched lamp (600W hps) from 20 to 14 hours so it takes a bit longer to get ready and gives better chance of healthy beans in the end
here are some pics of them that i have taken over the last few weeks...
seedling stage:
after about a week:

after about 2 weeks:

ill try make a few shots again later on when lamps go on again
