yes exactly mate. I have been asked to contridict others advice unless ask for so im just making sure it was welcome
if you have a defency granted use it but bear in mind your solution has cal and mag in it if your not running this high enough before it effects ec youve only made up for cal mag that should have already been there in the first place (probs contained in your micro)
so work out you additive dosage plus tap ec keep this base the same and adjust your feed up and down until you get balance but this will change as the plant grows
some food ive ran up to 1.2 others 1.8 depend on brands not including base tap water
this would not apply to pk/13/14 though as its food P and K

ok another dumb question if the ec moves up or down how do i know if its the base additives or nutes thats causing it sj
sjforget the base keep this constant it will be the micro bloom and grow which effect this the most
the base is mainly boosters they might need a little mag in general but not enough to effect your readings much if any
just keep an eye out for overfert rams horning but i doubt you will get it if paying attention to ec
This is why i dont recommend boosters on a first grow as you have not learned what ec your plants like with the main feed

its not my first grow with the aero, but i only knew what i could read and see on the internet, this is the first time im asking advice, i stumbled accross the finish line on each grow.ive learned alot in the past few posts thanks sj

i tried but i could never push the ec ive read that aero uses less food than hydro would you agree with this.insert name here had an ec of 1.2 on blueberries and reckoned that was the sweet spot.so im at 1 and ill try to keep it a little lower than inserts,thanks again sj
Yeah in general that right but if there telling you they want more give it up to them this will also depend on variety pheno type and enviroment
all the feeds ive used went to 1.2ec and some brand 1.6-1.8 if the ec is dropping dont be scared in bumping it up 1.1 and if it drops again then up it to 1.2 and so on the plants will tell you this is a big advantage with hydro/aero and this is how bigger yields are made as your feeding on that edge on the max they can take in

very stable ran at 1.1 from day 7ish remained at that for 10 days got worriied done a res change upped ec to 1.8 got tip burn reduced it back to 1.6 but i was using .2 as my base so now i know about what base is and have a target from inserts grow. i know from inserts this pheno has a cal/mag proplem and dptony told kush this is one of their hardest autos to growsj
sjI would go back to 1.2 than add your boosters from there say this take you to an example 1.5 total (.3 from boosters)
stable is stable dont mess with it
if it drops after the booster ec to 1.4 from 1.5 add another 0.2 ec from grow/bloom/micro so your at 1.6 and so on
if your stable at the 1.6 you would come res change you would mix your fert at 1.3 and add boosters to 1.6 (still 0.3)

the mistake was if your plant where happy at 1.1 stay there forget anything else
if ec is not rising now at your 1.6 forget the above if it is reduce to 1.5 etc and so on by adding extra water
