Hello AFNers, I'd like to share my experience with my latest order from Dope Seeds . com
Good stuff first
Cheap seeds. Were the cheapest RRFs I could find after a brief search on major seed banks.
Discreet packaging. Everything was in a small envelope with bubble wrap, was put in my mailbox. No need to go to the post office to pick up.
Fast Delivery. Although I live on an island on the far edge of EU, I received the order in a week.
Free sample seeds. yum
And now what went wrong:
So, I put the seeds in shopping basket and proceed to check out. Address and info and on to payment page. In a new tab I open my e-banking account, transfer the required funds plus 5eu in my Web Visa. Back to dope-seeds tab. Add card info and click Pay. After a while I noticed the money haven't been withdrawn from my web visa but since it was late afternoon and past working hours I let it till next day to see what happens. Next day I recieved email from Jim (Dope seeds) saying there's been trouble with the visa card but couldn't specify what the issue was. So I placed the order again. Same problem.
I left work and drove to the bank to find out what happened. No problem with the card they said. Luckily, I thought, I brought with me the dope-seeds bank account details so I asked to make a money transfer and get done with it. That didn't work for me because it would cost me 30eu extra, so I head back to work.
Anyway what to do... I sent email to Jim saying I'll place the order again with a different card, my spouse's Visa. Done. I received email after a while saying the order's been processed but they've had fraud problems with orders from my country in the past and, to verify I was the real card holder, asked me to email them the transaction reference number as well as the billing name of their company. I called my girl to call the bank and got the info I was asked to and mailed it back. The reply I got was negative, they wanted printsreen of the transaction through e-banking, and a statement with my name and address. That was not possible as that account wasn't connected with e-banking. Sounds strange but where I live it's kind of "new thing" the e-banking. Anyway, I drove home, took my girl and went to the bank. After a very long discussion we convinced the cashier at the bank to printscreen the visa transaction and mail it to me. I forwarded it to Jim along with a scan of the latest bank account statement. It was accepted finally!
Meanwhile, while we were at the bank I found out what the problem was and put me through all this process for a seed order. The currency converter of dope-seeds . com was way off, I suspect was outdated, and instead of the 70eu it was supposed to charge my card, it tried to charge 87eu which was not available in my web visa. Basically, I was told a price to pay, and got charged more.
That's cheating in my book.
The upside of all this was that Jim was kind of understanding, and put a few extra seeds with the order.
I could have ordered from attitude seed bank or pick n mix and save me the whole frustration and a few euros.
Excuse me for the long writing :Sharing One:
