Dinafem Multi Dina Auto grows in Sunshinemix

I've given a lot of love and praise to the White Cheese this year. But I think we may have found something to nudge it out of it's [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] spot. Not totally sure yet, but I think the OG Kush CBD is definitely a contender and it may have to be grown a few times in 2019 to be sure.

Whole lot of crazy going on under that left branch. The stem is thicker then the main, with a million tightly spaced nodes under all those leaves. This is the Blue K that started out deformed a few posts back.

No idea how she's going to turn out, but I got a ticket to ride.

Wow , a lot going on in the Dinafem section. I had to find my thread on page 2.

Here is another update on the 2 Blue Kush. Day 29, just started feeding 50% transition to bloom from GH. I should mention I've added additional supplements to my routine. GP root builder and CannaMax Potassium Silicate. I didn't want to pay the big bux for a GH/AN ect, and Cannamax was the best I could find for the price locally. It seems super concentrated, like syrup texture. It was only $12 Canadian for 500ml @ .25ml per liter dose.

Anyway, on to the plants !

It would seem I am more consistently growing smaller plants rather than larger. This year I really want to focus on getting more consistent with the girls and their sizes. So going forward I am going to have to make some bigger changes. I hope Faded called it a few post ago with trying a new soil. Because I too think that may be the "root" of my problem. To further that idea, I was listening to a youtube video, "DudeGrows" featuring a guest speaker, Jordan From AFN. I'm not sure who that is here on the site , but he was very well spoken and really knows his shit.

He discussed a little bit about autoflowers, specifically the tap root and how it grows strait down and the importance of not stunting the root early. And it got me thinking that maybe, unintentionally, that is actually what I am doing.

So that brings me to my soil. Sunshine Mix#4. I know this is a great soil and works well with photoperiod plants but I think it may be the "root" of my troubles with auto's. Sunshine mix holds water incredibly well. I think to well in fact. As I have mentioned before, I water only once every 7-10 days. On day 8 is when I typically give my seedlings their 2nd water. I feed them 250ml of water that saturates about 4 inches into the soil. And this will last until day 15. Followed up with half a liter of water penetrating only 6-8 inches deep in the soil. I think with no water for the root to grow down to , I am essentially keeping it stunted in my larger pot. I am not sure how to change my water practice. I am concerned that If I add more water that I will be waiting for weeks for it to dry out in this soil. But as it is right now, the plants are only getting their first full water with runoff at day 25-30.

So I'm super excited for the next girl that I will be growing. Mark has kindly sent me the new strains that have just been released. So the first girl that is going to hit the dirt will be Dinamed Kush CBD. I normally don't smoke what I grow but this girl, this girl will be MINE ! 0.6% THC and 16% CBD, yea I'm down for that ! I'm guessing it's going to land in Canada mid to late June. So what ever soil/changes I'm going to roll with will need to be sorted out by then.

Drop the coco buddy. Holds to much water. You should be doing first full water round day 14 or so. I do after fim. I add a shitload of perlite to mine to. All it is fox farm ocean forest. If it tests 6.5-6.8 i dont add lime. And first 2 wks i start with complete saturated soil and only water few drops everyday just around the stalk so tao root follows water to bottom of pot searching for. Thats how i do buddy hope that helps.
