HI All,
Long time lurker, first time poster, I'm reaching out for some help!
I have a Blue Himalaya (not deisel) in a 2 1/2l to 3l pot under 102w of cfls. PC case, 80mm extraction fan, passive intake. temps are about 29c lights on, and anywhere from 3-12c lights off (whatever the ambient temp is during the day.)
she's about 8 weeks old now, has been lightly lst'd and was doing very well until a couple of weeks ago when I watered with some old bottled water that had been sitting out with some tomorite in there. I saw what i thought was nute burn so i flushed with about 1/2l of bottled water.
This was obviously a mistake. the next day the pistils had gone a dark brown colour and it had lost it's proper smell and just smelled....strange. like a really green, wet smell. So i waited and waited for her to dry out and noticed some fungus gnats. set up some traps and killed a few adults and now they seem to have gone.
now, the problem. the leaves have started to yellow and have brown patches / rust spots on them, and having researched, i'm fairly sure i have ph lockout.
but what's really bothering me is the buds. all of the upper buds have dark purple, brown, or black tips. I've tried to get the best pics i can (sorry phone camera). Terrified it was mold or fungus, i snipped a few tips off, but they are green and healthy inside (see pic). The buds are not slimey or gooey, and are actually a little cripsy to the touch. The lower buds all seem ok. But she doesn't smell right at all, and there is a real lack of trichs. One or two leaves have succumbed to necrosis and fallen off. in short, she is NOT HAPPY.
So, my 2 theories are:
1 - deficiency of phosphorous due to ph lockout - the fan leaf stems and a few of the smaller leafs are purple, so that would support this?
2 - some kind of fungus or mold.
Obviously 2 is my big fear as i will have to ditch the lot.
no way of testing my ph yet - testers on the way though..
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
