Old Reviews Mixing nutrient lines?

Thanks red eyed c  i never check my ph now so my ph meter isn't calibrated so maybe I'll wait til I can check ph

I think its best used with base nutes mate.when I added pro tekt to my tap water the ph was around 9.6,that leaves alot of adjusting.by using it with base nutes and additives they bring the ph down, and if your running full strength it could get you in the sweet spot range,i was in soil.its also handy as a ph up
@MM that's probably a good idea mate cause the pro tekt will mess with your ph

Will I need to adjust ph even though my ph perfect has cleared nutrients? I thought they made nutrients available between like 5-8 ph

the nutrients are available because they are cheleated to do so
the addition of other nutrients w/o proper cheleation will not be able to absorb nutrients at such a wide scale they will only be available at their normal levels of needed ph

to be clear the nutrients are made from materials that are exchangable throughout the wider ph scale
the water itself is not altered in ph from the original source water
alot of nutrients are really designed to be used in r/o or other very low ppm
when one sees a very large spike in the addition of a nutrient it is due to either a large concentration of cautions + or anions -
a high caution level will increase the acidity and a high anion content will show a large drift upwards in ph
it is the exchange of theese + and - hydrogen molecules that account for what ph ie potential hydrogen is
the root zone exchanges and creates more acids this is why a form of lime is used to(buffer) cancel out this as well as the acidity of other medium additives

I'd be cautious using anything with the AN pH Perfect line. In my experience if you manually adjust the pH after adding the pH Perfect, it really screws it up. I had to stop using pH Perfect because the pH and ppm of my water was so high it couldn't properly adjust it without adding additional pH down. When I did that, it seemed to throw off the nutes ability to self adjust and caused a lot of problems.

a 50-100 dollar whole house sediment filter will take care of that for you
i guess my answer should have just been no don't do it;)
