I'm planning on doing the same thing buddy. Might just go with the "chunky" perlite or hydroton for s&g's. But it'd be nice to hear some results prior to doing so lol.
Well, I have literally just finished mixing up the ingredients. I have used 60% organic soil, 30% Coco Coir and 10% perlite. It's very fluffy which means oxygen can get in easily. I will be using this for my DinaFem Industrial CBD which I will be germinating as soon as it arrives!

Hell yeah, sounds like a pretty good mixture! Now with the soil having some nutes, will you still be doing a lite feeding every time or still feed, water, feed, water?
I will be light feeding on every water I think. Just makes it easier that way!

I actually use and have been using a similar mix but with little to no nutrients in mine. I use sunshine advanced [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] aggregate plus, mother earth [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] perlite and botanicare cocogro. I mix them equally in 1/3 amounts v and the mix is super fluffy and airy and the girls love it. Just make sure you keep up on watering! Check out my cheese xxl grow under new vendors>amare technologies>solar spec 150s vs cheese xxl. Also my current grow in the dinafem 12 man head to head grow off. I also just dropped none beans directly into this mix. It's a great idea. Check out dinafem website and the descriptions of their autos.... They recommend adding 30% Coco to your soil mix for best results.... We are heading in the right direction. I'm loving this mix and won't go back...

i mix coco aswell. since my first grow was dinafem they say "use 30% of coco" and i do ever since... i use biobizz light mix and ad either biobizz coco or plagron coco and i put some pebbels on the bottom of pot. i do not use bricks, just 50l bag of coco coir..
and as HERO says it is much fluffy and airily. the mix isnt that hard when its dry, like plagron light mix for example, when dry its almost like concrete-
water repellents as fuck..
i think this is my favourite mix i havent any ph issues or anything and i will stick to that till the end! :)

:thanks:
