Greetings fellow Earthlings,
As I've been banging on about in several threads, I've recently started on mineral nutrients for the first time and so far I'm pretty impressed.
^ That's a big buddha automatic that's 22 days old. I can't recall ever seeing an automatic in my groom lookng that perky at this stage. Normally I'd expect to see yellowing lower leaves by now. I've only fed her once about 2 weeks ago and so far her pot isn't light enough for more but IIRC I gave her feed (grow nutes + molasses) at an ec of 0.9
Normally I grow them in batmix but I've started these in biobizz lightmix for the first time and all's going pret-ty well.
If you wouldnt mind giving me some advice on using mineral nutes I'd be grateful. The reason being is that I've just cooked two other flowering automatics with an ec of 1.6 (bloom + pk13/14). So that's obviously too strong and the effects took only 1 day to show.. unlike organic nutes.
So, it looks very much like mineral nutes are fast-acting, controllable and hot if you use too many. That aside, are there are tips to using them or a rough EC scale that growers use to guage what strength to use them at?
What would I be looking at for younglings.. 0.8? And for girls about 3 weeks old.. 1? Something like that?
Also, is it ever safe to feed mineral nutes twice in a row or do they always have to be spaced by plain waterings?
Thanks very much for your help.
Edit:
^ That's the one I cooked. 2 days ago she was the picture of health with lush silky leaves. Now she's looking shagged. Zoom in and you'll see what I mean
