MI5 phenotypes discussion

Thanks people. No it is not to much hard work... If you automatise your grows it don't need to be... Example good soil with much N, 5 lit on plant, mixed with native 50-50%=10 lit in ground holes soil... Water crystals+spring, early summer rains=minimum watering... Water if need about on 2 weeks with bloom ferts, and check for mildew, rots... Large group of 100's, 10 of them... In that 100's 10 group of 10... That 100 will be on one road just in left-right direction, distance from road say 100-150 m, on group of 10 plant... 10 turn of road X 10 plant ... 100 plants... one road good, 9 more to go ;) ... Small plants easy to hide... Just must to experiment this winter with crystals in the big pot indoor, and try to hydratate in the beggining and see if i can get away with 2-3 watering for the whole cycle of auto.... In ground holes for approximately 10 lit. digged with auger... With photos holes i do one minut hole... Prepare soil at home, one bag one plant, 10 bags in one big bag for one group. Dig, feel, repeat... With the help of God, i will succed... Think WE we succeed... If i get away with it, i will be sure that you will... Maybe twice, as i plant! Stay safe mates!
And sorry for my remarkable bad English... Peace...

So what would be the desirable pheno to choose as parents for a seed run?

The desirable poheno would be a short with medium branching (no high branching because, high branching=less lights for buds, i.e. fluffy buds), smell and high i can't breed because of the short time i have for the next season... All in all, i have little time to bred a desirable pheno... But my priority list for phenotype is: 1. Height, 2. Fast grow, 3. High. I think i will get away (because short time) with desire height and fast grow, because it is the easy to spot and select. But if i have a tall phenos i will LST the plants, and upgrade her stealth on that way (if i have less luck with breeding). I am not a true breeder and don't know much of it but i understand the basics, and it is not that hard for me to ammend and apply knowledge... Besides Mi5, i wil do it with Diesel ryder, because of allredy bred height. To sum all, i will do 1000 plants with F2 of Mi5 nad F2 of DR and some small number of F1 cross Mi5 and DR (just to see how will that go)... And if my crossing F1 would be good, i will donate the half of the rest seeds to the AFN... Because i start with autos thanks to this site... In the past grown photos, but more time+height=less stealth approach... But the advantage with photos is that i can start indoor for 1,5-2 weeks and go outside, not to worry about less veg time, and maintenace of the plants... My photos i grow in inground holes with this soil recipe: average soil for flowers (cheapest) 50%+worm castings or chicken manure 40%+styrofoam 10%(or more depend of the native ground). This is NOT hot mix because i that soil (about 5 lit.) i mix with native ground and crystals (high concentrations) in late winter, early spring, rains expand crystals in the soil and from that is planting on auto pilot ;) ... Ask if you need something, i will BE GLAD to HELP. Thanks people.

Hey guys, I've got some info to drop into this. I've noticed a difference in the buds on my F2 MI5s. When I get the bushy pheno the buds are loose and airy, sometimes foxtail. This along with it's woody/lemon lead me to believe it's the sati heavy pheno. When I get the single cola/ minimal side branches (like the one in my review) the buds are tight but large and sugary with a lemon/berry smell/taste. They seem to be indy dom. Their high packs just a little bit more punch to it and is described by one of my experienced stoner buddies as "the best pot I've ever smoked in my life"

When I pollinated the lower buds on one female I got 500+ seeds and have been having fun. Gave a bunch away to people in the local growing scene to infect them with the auto bug, grew some myself and still have a couple of hundred left over. I really prefer the single cola lemon/berry pheno and am going to try and select it out later in 2013.

This is my go-to recommendation plant for new growers or people looking for an easy, heavy yielding, great high. She's resistant to everything and has a vigor she doesn't lose out of f1. I'd venture to say she's my #1 auto pick.

Well, now I'm just stoned and rambling. :2cents:

I think I worked out why my first Mi5's were dwarves....I started them under 24 hours for the first 4 weeks. They grew OK but no rapid growth.
I am currently growing some Nirvana AK48 outside in 25c to 32c days. As they get natural night time they are doing well so far.

I think you nailed it pretty good MrP. I've been recommending Mi5 to new growers for a long time for it's easy of growth, high potency and high yields. It's a winner and still one of my favorite strains.

I've got 4 Mi5's going right now, 3 are that shiny leaf... 15-17 inches tall. One is packing on the height... now at 23" tall and finishing up her pre-flowering soon, growing 2" a day, and big ass side branches. It's probably 2 feet wide at this point.

Oh wow! It would be awesome if you could throw up a picture of the big one and one of the small ones. For comparison purposes of course (nothing to do with porn, i swear:hump:)

I see no reason why they would be stunted under 24 hours of light. To my knowledge and from what I have seen that doesn't stunt them. People just do 20/4 over 24/0 because there's not much difference in outcome between the two and saving on power is good.

i only grow autos under 24/0 cause im too lazy to cut off lights and too cheap to buy a timer---but ive never had a problem
