Since MI5 is such a great strain and popular with many, I thought we should explore the phenos of MI5.

Can we identify all known MI5 phenotypes? Such as description name, typical height & smell. How it is easily identified as a particular MI5 pheno.

Reading on this site, the phenos are "bud on a stick" & "bush pheno" are there more?

Pheno Type:
Leaves(indica or sativa):
Smell:
Taste:
Stretch or Compact:
Colour of leaf, flower & stem:
Anything else:

Hey Dingo my mi5 is ready for harvest heres my info below

Pheno Type: Bushy
Leaves(indica or sativa): Indica
Smell: citrus like

Stretch or Compact: Compact 16inch height
Anything else: Very branchey bud sites everywhere

I've grown a lot of Mi5 and there are basically 3 different phenos. One is a short, single cola, usually around 10 - 14" tall, the second one is a single cola with 4 to 8 size branches that gets a bit bigger, in the 16 - 24" range, and the third is the bush pheno, which is the rarest. The bush pheno may have leaves that show a bit more sativa influence. Smell, taste and high/stone is consistent across all phenos. By about week 5 the difference in phenos will be obvious by their appearance.

Muddy,, thanks.

Presently running a "pot size test" with these.

First was single cola and CSed (pollen is saved)

Then grew one in a 5 gal,,, another in a 7 gal tall.

Wouldn't it figure? Think I have (your) types 2 in the 5 gal,, and the type 3 short & really bushy in the 7 gal. (Well, so much for informational testing this round) LOL

Thanks. 5 and 7 gallon pots, especially 7 gallon, are over kill for dwarf autos strains, IMO. Three gallon are usually sufficient, even for the bush phenos.

Was a total screw up from the beginning. Things got hectic and I got lost somewhere.
Pot Test was suposed to be Delicous' La Diva.

Still stabilizing the perpetual and simply got lost in the shuffling I guess. LOL (Happens when one is olde & stoned I guess.. LOL)

Thanks guys for the input. What about colour differences between phenos or does weather and nutes influence the colours more than anything else in MI5?
Does one pheno have darker leaf stem or more fingers? I am looking for repeated patterns belonging to the three known phenos.

Mi5 does have some Afghani in it, so colder temps can bring out some purple in it. If you have the breeders pack, the pictures on it are of an Mi5 I grew outdoors in the fall of 2009. Night time temps were getting into the 30s and it turned a beautiful shade of purple. Otherwise, I've not noticed any real differences between the phenos, outside their growth patterns. The leaves on Mi5 are usually a deep green with a bit of shine to them. I understand Stitch is working on stabilizing it and sometime in the future will release the upgrade.

I have a Mi5 that is in the middle of week 8. Couldn't tell how tall because she has been LST. When I squeeze on the buds a little, she smells like a fresh lemon. Can't wait for the harvest. Smells delicious. One love to all

Hi Stylez717, what pheno do you have?

In this thread, it suggests MI5 has a citrus smell. I have read elsewhere in this forum that there is a berry pheno too.
