my pleasure mate! ...check out Dabber and F.N., their grows with MC and other GLN products are spectacular = Dabber in particular caught on early to the MC only vs. using a PK booster along with it, and showed definite bud quality improvement doing so... As always, strain to strain, even pheno' differences in response, needs performance etc. are in play,... there's nothing wrong with mixing up some nutes from other lines, so long as you asses the completeness of them in comparison to the rest of your line up... As mentioned before, BE is meant as a supplement, it's a very limited formulation and lacks many other nutes, so it can't be used as a "base" bloom nutrient... and also, cutting down on MC means you're cutting down on all the other things in it that are not covered by such supp's like BE... I don't know if you can get it up there, but Roots Organics make a line called Terp Tea; I used the bloom formula (a complete one) 3-7-4, and liked it very much... I gave the plants in bloom occasional hits of MC, and Open Sesame (big time PK#'s), but Terp Tea was the primary bloom nute.. good stuff, and not that $$!
The buds look good, and some manky fans are of no importance by harvest time.. it's their job to give up what mobile nutes they have in them to support bud development... This is why I lean on micro's like I do, because the plant can't store and translocate them, most are immobile....

I think what I might do for the rest of the current grow is ditch the cal mag and BE, and just provide MC with a bit of sweet candy unless I see strong issues with deficits. The CQ seems happy and stable so should do well as long as I don't screw anything up, and the 24C's really don't have that long to go, so they probably won't care what I do as long as I don't go nuts.

Anyway Waira, thanks again for all the help. I have learned lots with your input to this grow, and even more with all your comments on other's grows. The challenge of this stuff and learning about it have been the best part of the trip for me, and much of the learning enjoyment has been a result of your generous efforts. Here's hoping that the New Year treats you and yours very well.

:smoking: it's a pretty steep learning curve mate! At least for those looking to get the most from their genetics,... books, brain picking, forum diving, etc. all help, but grinding out the grows is how it get applied and integrated.... Working the nutes, reading the plants is no small challenge!
These days some very nice "water only" soils/products are out there, SoHum and KIS Organics seem to do the best, and even they still say some light supplementing is an easy way to boost performance, especially when the soil is becoming tapped out by bloom. I have tried KindSoil (never again), BioTabs (worked OK, but still tapped out too soon on the outdoor photo's),.... Along with RTU soil, KIS makes a nutrient pack made to mix into your hand made base soil, or amend an existing good quality one... I'm seriously considering this next run, and need to consult with KIS about this,.. there's a informal rep' here under that name, KIS.... Have a look at their website, and chat with him sometime!
