Usually, you want to do it the other way around, at least IMHO...soaking out of the gates is
going to be too wet, and slow them down. My 2 cents. Depends on how you soaked em with
the gallon.
I usually "column feed" which is to pour right at the seedling (and directly around) to make a "shaft" or "Column"
of water going straight down to the bottom...to encourage the tap root to get to the bottom, then I "ring feed"
where I pour the water on the outer perimeter of the pot to then encourage the side shoots to go out to the edge,
then I give the pot it's first full soak around day 12-14 like I was saying above.
It really just depends on the level of dampness the seedlings were exposed to. With a 5gal bucket and a gallon
of water, it may have dispersed just fine...the drier soil is going to draw moisture to it so...
But you may want to start watering a little more than spray bottle levels now...
This is why I love the Accurate8 soil pH probe...because it has a moisture meter as well and can tell me
the wetness level anywhere in the pot
