Good day AFN. This is my smoke report for my Sour Stomper that is now curing in jars. This is my 3rd grow, and was grown alongside Toofless Alien, Sour Crack and Sour Bubblin Crack.

 :headbang: :vibe:

Seedbank: Mephisto Genetics.

Strain: SOUR STOMPER :bighug:

Did it autoflower?: Yep! I can't remember when, around day 18 I think.

Soil/hydro: Biobizz Lightmix. 15 litre air pot. 3x3 tent. Finished off in a 4x3 tent.

Nutes: AN PH perfect triple base nutes with B52, Voodoo Juice, Big Bud, Overdrive.

Light (kind and schedule): DIY (kit) Citizen CLU048 1212 200w COB system 20/4. Cobs started at 40+ inches from plants and left at the same height for the entire grow. The plants grow up to whatever height they fancy.

From seed to harvest: 65 to 68 days, top half harvested first then lower half a few days later. Cloudy trichs and a decent number of ambers. 5 to 10% maybe.

Dry yield: Around 110g. I smoked a little bit before weighing.

High/Effect Duration: I am smoking some that is properly dried but only cured for around 4 days so far, so bare that in mind....

In summary: Oh Yeah Baby! A very nice day time smoke for me personally. Pretty strong and getting better in the jar. In a similar way to the Toofless Alien, this Sour Stomper is very motivating for me. This morning I smoked some and then cleaned the house (again), extended the veggie patch and planted some veggies I've grown from seed. Usually I smoke a couple for breakfast and then don't do much for a lot of the morning. I find the SS gets me doing stuff, and I also find it good and sociable, which again is good for me as I have a "touch" of social anxiety. I can happily smoke this strain all day and have a good day.

BAG APPEAL: *****

Description:
5 stars. Without a doubt by far the best looking weed I've grown so far. The TA wasn't far behind and had nicer colours, but this Stomper just looks lovely. I'd be happy if I bought this in a coffeeshop in Dam.

THE GROWTH: *****

Description:
5 stars. Very different to the other Mephisto strains I've grown so far. She did much more vertical growth early on, instead of the usual spread and then stretch. In the 3rd week or so she started some really vigorous growth, and by the time she hit 96cm I had to supercrop her due to lack of any more height. The supercropping seemed to do wonders for all the other terminal buds which all got nice and fat in response. She had a lovely big spaced out structure which allowed great light penetration. She seemed to stall at around 50 days and I thought I had an issue, but I think maybe she was just gathering energy for the final swell. Also at around day 50 I had serious doubts that she was gonna be ready anywhere near 65 days but she proved me wrong.

THE SMELL: ****

Description:
4 stars. As usual I suspect I may alter this after the cure. The Sour Stomper was a lovely smelling plant through flowering, and probably the smelliest I've grown so far. Nice sweet smells, with hints of OG type aromas. The smell now when I open a jar is fairly modest although lovely, but when you crack a bud open there is a nice rich OG type smell with hints of sweetness and Sour Crack. It's getting better and stronger each day it cures.

THE SMOKE: *****

Description: 5 stars. Now it's curing the smoke is getting really nice. Very very smooth with no nasty green taste or harshness. Again I think the nicest of any I've grown so far. It burns really well, burns clean and has a real good kick to the back of the throat. I love it! In fact I love it so much I already have another Sour Stomper in the tent on day 12 or so. Definitely my favourite Mephisto strain so far and better than anything I can get on the street or from the local coffeeshop   :pighug: :vibe:

As always far too much waffling on. Try it and see for yourself how nice it is. Massive congrats to @mephisto for such a lovely strain, and massive thanks to everyone on AFN for the help and support as usual.

Hippy

Just waned to add one thing: I seriously doubt anyone could tell this from a photoperiod plant. These genetics are the nuts.
Yup nobody can tell, they are just that good. Better imho
Lovely right up Hippy

What was total yield under 200W?

4 plants under 200w of cobs gave me at least 410g. I can't be precise as I already smoked a small amount of each plant before it was properly dried and weighed. Happy to call it 410 to be honest!

Great job!
Do you meassure PAR readings or LUX through grow? How much for veg (week by week)?
At what height do you have your lights? I assume they're on 100% all the time?
I let my plants grow this time, no training. But they're at 52cm (supposed to be 80-120cm as breeder says). I have light too close maybe?

Thanks mate

No I don't measure the light. I did try an app on my phone but it would have been more useful to try and use my arse lol.
Lights on 100% as my first cobs weren't dimmable. I've just made another 250w set and this is dimmable. It's on 100% though lol.
Controversially, I start my cobs at around 36 to 40 inches (90 to 100cm) above the seedlings and don't move them at all. I just let the plants grow up to whatever height they fancy. Seems to work ok so far.

I think you do have to be careful as cob light is so intense. Too close at too young an age and they will show stress and possibly stunt worse case scenario. Same as blurple led i guess. I definitely think when they are young is the critical time with cobs. Get them higher than you think they should be, and then move them up a little bit more! When the plants are big they can take a lot more intensity.
