Mephisto Genetics Mephisto sativa Old School Mango Haze and Walter White Bx1

Got Walter White Bx1 broke down and a light wet trimming of the leaves I could get to whole.. After doing that I do smell some of the citrusy/lemon smell as the original but more earthy.. Buds are for sure a lot denser too so I put them all into some brown bags to dry this will be new to me never done a whole dry this way but the dry tent is full up :headbang::woohoo1:

If you have more paper bags I usually give them a bit more breathing room and don’t overlap/stack at all. Another great option for this is to get a large cardboard box and to suspend the whole plant/cut branches just as if it were in the tent

a while back i used a tv box for a 65 flat screen and cut a hole in the side and taped a mini hygrometer in itthen put a string down the middle of the inside the box and hung branches in it. Worked good for a 3-4 day initial dry before paper bagging to finish but whole plant hang for a few days before bagging is ideal imo.. :toke:

Yessir they are Mephisto genetics they only do auto's that I know of.. These are a new strain they are testing out definitely recommend the OSMH they turned out great I'm sure the smoke with be good too :d5:

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate the nice comment :thanks: :pass:
they sure are massive -- anything "special" your use and want to share with use members ? (Testing wa a success) Mephisto isone of the the top auto breeders

Man, if I had a freeze dryer, I sure would do water and ice for hash
Please excuse my ignorance, but where in the hash making process to you do freeze drying/lyophilization? Does this replace low heat, e.g., >200˚F, oven drying (and decarbing) of the buds at the start; replace heating for drying powders coming wet from bubble bag screening; and/or is it for storage/preservation. Why freeze dry? What does freeze drying do better vs. low heat or other ways of drying?

A freeze dryer removes the water from the hash.
Otherwise you have to freeze it in the freezer, then microplane it onto something, most used cardboard, to increase the surface area and then to absorb the moisture. It's messy!

I use dry ice because it's less messy. The hash you make from dry ice shake is dry, but during the process of reaching room temperature, it absorbs moisture from the air. So you have to let it dry, but it's much easier and quicker. Most are ready to work within an hour or so.

I love the brown paper bag method, actually I don't know anything else ;). I always cut the stems of though, so it's just bud. The bags will have to work much harder to absorb that extra moisture ;).

Thank you I don’t think I do anything special.. These were grown in coco with greenleaf megacrop 2 part following MOG’s schedule.. The only differences is I use mammoth p and AN sensizyme

OK, so freeze drying is done with bubble (wet-screened) hash to eliminate excess moisture (and not done with dry sifted hash? Or does dry sifted hash also need ro benefit from psot-sifting freeze or other drying?). Is freeze drying done before, with hash powders, or after powders are pressed?

Is freeze-drying better, preferable vs. say low-temp. oven heating; enclosing with a strong dessicant; slow gentle warming (such as put on top of router or other warm continuously-running device); or other non-freezing methods? [Note, my minimal experience making hash has only involved AC-cooled temperature dry sifting].

Hey guys I appreciate the info but before this gets carried away don't forget this is my personal grow journal there is a whole section dedicated to hash making
