i started my last grow by tying my tops down very late and I've done the same with this orangutan see how she fares I'm after wide plants with multiple tops as you only learn what works by trying done you bro

hey tom heres something for you to try out when you top your plant at the 4th node to get 8 tops try topping it again on the the two top shoots after there first node for ten tops never tried it on a auto but works great on photos

Now that may be worth a shot I don't feel you could do it on all strains the longer ones maybe. also if you ever see any pics of the process I may check utube and thanks growbro

It definitely would have to a long runner.
I think I saw the YT Bill Ward show how to do multiple toppings, but I can't remember if it was an auto.
My question is how hard does topping hit an auto? First topping, probably not too much, but it;s still young. Second and third toppings double the stress with each topping. No problem with photos, you have time to catch up.
How much stress does laying over and trying down exert on a plant? I think not much. On my two more indica girls, I got lots of big colas and a pretty even canopy.

Which method results in more quality bud?.................................key word is quality! Quality is what we're all after, right?

It would be interesting to attempt to do a side by side.
