What up AFN!? Back for another grow, except this time I will be using @BigSm0 auto cobs, I'm so excited to try these!

I'm still in my secret jardin dr60 2x2x5.3 tent
Starting off with 2 auto cobs (will increase)
Lights on 24 hrs no rest for my girls lol
2 mephisto grape crinkle
Both in 3 gallon smart pots
Fox farm happy frog soil with plenty of perlite
I'll be using the fox farm trio, and some cal-mag
Both were sprouted in jiffy pellets and they've already been transplanted to their 3 gallon homes.

This was June 16. 1 is slightly behind the other but both are healthy as of now.

Bottom pic is the one that's slightly behind I planted them exact same time but she popped up about a day later than the other one.

Day 3 I just added more soil to make it flush with cotelydons. I'm still on a 24 hr. Light schedule and the lights are hanging about 18" with the reflectors on. I'm using my par meter more than hanging distance I'm getting 400 ųmols on each plant right now. They look ok, maybe a little on the light green side?

I got some dirt on this one I already brushed it off lol

Day 4. both are praying to the cobs! Do you think I should increase light intensity while they pray or are they optimal when praying?

Day 5 still praying to the cob gods

That's a lot of light! Be nice to see how she takes it. still can't find any of the 3 par meters I own. I'd say the 4x4 is a steady 300 umoles. Once I get the deficiencies figured out I may step it up with 5 cobs in there.

I figured I'd document this grow based off ųmols so I could look back and see if I could try something different for the next time. I didn't even know what ųmol was before I bought your cobs lol. Now I been reading like crazy about it, and it really does make sense, they use this method in large scale commercial greenhouses. Day light integrity if you think about it, if I could actually gauge how much dli to give cannabis plants, it should be smooth sailing. And I could add or remove based off results off each grow. At the very least id have a consistent quality id think, strain dependant of course.

You are spot on with all of this. Commercial setups don't just buy the cheapest lights in quantity they can afford. Everything's down to the slightest and smallest detail. That way they can adjust and more importantly see where adjustments went good or bad. For the small time 1-2 plant auto grower may read that and say yeah not me, buuut this style, tech and setups are what we are using now just smaller scale versions of what people have already tested. Imagine knowing nothing about cannabis, no forums, no internet and building a light to grow crops? Where would we start? The answers are already here and we use this whether we know it or not.

We are at the start of an autoflower revolution and we will now start seeing these lighting changes that are so important. What you are doing now Autoflowa is what we desperately need. 1500 ppfd on a 18/6 or even worse 24/0 autoflower is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Still many promote it. Luckily we see more and more lower canopy ppfd. The grows are still average or above average while the energy bills are substantially lower. Making the personal grow or commercial grow as economical as possible which in turn puts more bud or money in your pocket.

1 week update. Day 7. Everything still chugging along the only thing different from my other grows so far is, how light green the leaves are. I don't necessarily think it's a problem, maybe a little less nitrogen in this happy frog batch? Idk. I also forgot to mention I have a 2x2 screen so I may utilize a scrog method. Feel free to tag any fellow autoflower scroggers as I've never attempted this.
