Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Goodness Inside...

I think nutrients in general cause more problems than we think. I have 2 sour livers going right now on the same feed. One has slightly burnt tips and just started showing some yellow. The one without the burnt tips is green and healthy. Organic grows always seem to be the healthiest and I think it's partially because the slow breakdown of nutrients vs the quick delivery of bottled synthetics. Organic grows also show much more trichomes and I think it's because synthetics seem to cook them right off.

They sure do, when I switched from photo's to autos I learned real quick less was more with these genetics. I tried following some popular feed schedules but realized it was too much and just went back to reading my plants. I think the nutrient requirements within the same strain are different as well. Probably why your seeing two different results from your sour livers.
I'm on a mission to get this organic growing with water only figured out. Simply to make sure they have what they need in the soil and let them do their thing of making some stinky flowers. I grew up on a farm and I have never met one farmer that feeds their crops weekly with fertilizers. I don't see why we should be with our beloved plant.

Do you mind if I ask the smell level on the Sour Livers, it's said to be on the top end of the stink scale but I haven't grown her out yet. I have one going for the 2017 MGOTY but amongst the others I have I am not sure who yet will be my entrant. Sorry for rambling but I have to know as even mephisto says it's their "prison weed" due to the smell. Thanks

This is the first I've grown them, they smell right now of light pine, fresh cut wood and my lady says the current smells of it reminds of her being by the river. You have a couple weeks to pick your entrant for the grow off, I'll let you know in a week or so how they have changed.

Day 61
They are looking great imho, the Sour livers are starting to put on some heavier frost. The Skystompers are straight up trichome factories, they appear to be a few days ahead of the Livers in flower productions.

I love you guys using organic's but IMO we have to be careful about making claims without data backing it up. I think we can all agree that Organics is the way most of us would like to grow. However " Seeming" to be healthier""Show" much more trichomes may just be that those interested in organics visit organic grows more and not hard scientific fact.
My point is not everyone may have the experience that the next guy does and when they come to our community to seek advice from successful experienced growers, we owe it to them to offer Organics as a great way, not the only way because it effectively leaves out other growing methods. I push two part synthetic when it is appropriate and when i am asked, because my results speak for themselves and new growers can see that. It is an easy way for growers to get started. But i would never say it's better or the weed is better because its synthetic. I believe if a grower can read a book, stay humble and learn from your mistakes, keep an open mind, chart everything so you can do it again, keep learning,BE PATIENT and know how to cure your stuff (Use hygrometers. )
Your going to have a good time.

With organic i love not mixing nutes, getting ph right, over and over. I just put some dry ferts on the surface and add water! I dont get the biggest and most beautiful plants but do get clean meds with much less work.
