New Grower Mephisto genetics/night owl seeds

Update on the tent

Strawberry nuggets number 1 has been throwing amber since day 56/57. Began flushing them a few days ago. Slowly thickening up. If you give the nugs a light squeeze it smells like sweet strawberry jam, smells just delicious.

Blue microverse not gonna yield much but the buds look like their gettin their frost on just fine. Nugs have a low odor but have a powder-like sweet tarts smell. Excited to see her grow out.

BM x WA doing good, still spraying her one lowest branch with 50 ppm colloidal silver daily. I try to hit it twice a day but sometimes I only remember to hit her once. All nodes began throwing obvious pistils a few days ago, including the lowest branch that's been getting sprayed.
She seems to have gotten a little stressed because I think ive spotted a few area's were she has gone hermaphrodite. The 2 most obvious areas are on the 2 main colas, with potential hermies on her other branches as well. Gonna have to keep an eye on her.

Sour livers slowly growing into her training. Shes on the smaller side but that's alright , I know she's quality.

The goldilocks zone and gold glue have been receiving only tap water with a light feed of microbes and great white a little while ago. When they dry out in a day or 2 they'll receive their first feed of nutes. 2.5mls big bloom, 1ml grow big, with some mammoth+great white .

Definitely a herm. It looks pretty mature as well, so those pollen sacs could pop open any day now. You'll definitely have to decide between removing it now, or picking off the pollen sacs as they appear, while letting it finish. Picking them off still leaves a risk of you not catching/seeing pollen sacs that may have formed under/inside the flowers. Those can still open and pollinate any plants you have in flower.

Your BM and mine are so different.

I think you are too N heavy. No offence meant, just from what I can see.
No offense takin. I agree she is looking a lil nitrogen heavy. Shes in a hot soil and has recieved regular feeds of nutes so it wouldnt surprise me. I'm thinking I got a runt or stunted her on accident. She had a real slow start out the gates as a seedling. I'm definitely planning to run her again soon though

I dont have a separate space I can isolate this lady in and collecting pollen from her is the goal. So I'll be letting her ride it out in there till the end. I intend on removing her whenever I see pollensacks that can be collected

Did you reverse the plant to make it grow pollen sacs? If not, the pollen your talking about collecting will be herm pollen, that will make more herm seeds.. A natural herm is not a good thing

Yeah I am trying to reverse my BM x wa. I've been spraying the lowest branch with 50 ppm colloidal silver daily. Hermie pollen wouldnt be preferred over normal reversed pollen but I'd still take it. I would just use the seeds created with herm pollen to do a whole tent run of 1 strain instead of attempting to breed with em

We got a birthday! My Deep Blue C was put into a rooting cube to germ a few days ago and successfully sprouted today. Overly ecstatic about this strain. At least 2 branches will be reversed for pollen and the majority of the plant will be dedicated to making s1's. I'm lucky enough to have 1 more deep blue c seed that I intend to try to make f5s with - I assume these are f4's . I didnt get them direct from mephisto so idk for sure

Quick update on the BM x WA pollen project

I'm seeing sacks forming ! The branch that's been getting sprayed with cs threw all of 1 or 2 hairs before starting to develop sacks. Shes been gettin fugly lookin from the spray. Continuing to mist once daily.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how little cs spray it has required so far. I filled up a 4 oz. Glass spray bottle and I'm barely down a quarter of it, roughly 1 oz used so far.

Went through her and removed the majority of the hermie pollen sacks , or at least the big obvious ones. They started gettin real plump and began to fall off, though they never opened or released any pollen

The goldilocks zone began throwing preflowers 2 days ago. No preflowers on gold glue yet.

This Blue microverse is just ugly man, godda be one of , if not the most fugly plant I've ended up with. Weird foxtailing colas. Buds that dont really have a solid shape. And one nug specifically has a weird burnt/crispy feel to it, like it's been cooked. Its no were else on the plant, just the 1 top cola, and only on the lower corner of the nug, it's so weird.
Its not all bad however. 1 smaller nug that fell behind ( due to my lack of leaf tucking , I'm slackin ) is abnormally greasy and smelly. It's not dense , will probably amount to a gram or 2. when i touched it, it felt greasy, like motor oil kinda greasy. I thought it was a moisture issue because none of the other nugs felt the same at all. But I tool a whiff of it and it smelled absolutely wonderful. Pungent fruity aroma, totally different to what I was picking up from the other nugs , smell wise.

This BM got me thinking .. in the last year since I began growing I've ended up with a surprising number of mutated / runt plants -excluding the ones that were damaged by my own inexperience of course . My question being is Are other people who are running mephisto and night owl gear experiencing mutated plants on a similar level? Is it just random chance that a plant mutates ?
