Seed Stockers MedGrower does Seed Stockers - Northern Lights DWC Telos0008

Hello and warm welcome! Nice to hear you are going hydro and with Remo! I'd be interested to tag along that grow also and help/advice anywhere I can.

Yeah I change the whole reservoir but I leave some old solution to the bottom, 2cm or so that the bacteria and such can carry on to the new feed. Changing whole of the reservoir ensures that the feed is stable, so thats the reason.

Thanks @MedGrower I will definitely tag you in when I start.

DAY 38

pH 6.2
EC 1.16
RH 50 - 60
T 27.7

Plant height 26cm / 10,4 inches
Distance from the light 60cm / 24 inches

Telos 0008 has landed in my garden. I've had her for a day blasting at there and I've observed it warming it up there a bit more than my DIY COB's did. Difference is perhaps one degree in celsius. There more growth and I have been doing defoliation and LST every day from when I did my last update at weekend. I observed the EC in the reservoir going down by 0.1 over the couple of days and she had also been drinking a lot so I gave her 7 litres top up with feed that was 1.3 EC high to bring the overall consentration of the solution to a level. I think I go higher feed in the next reservoir change, perhaps something like 1.25 EC since I think this intense light is giving her increased demand for nutrients.

I had her hung by my standard holders and they are doing a good job. Since the unit weights 8 kg and it is supported by two hooks the are in the particle board, I figured I secure her with additional clips from another attachments of my grow cabinet just in case. Better safe than sorry.

Question for you @blue : Do you get your plants looking so pale / yellow under the light as I have here?

I am pretty much having a peak feed what I've used to give my plants at this stage, EC was falling a tad but not to that much that it alone would account for such paleness. I am concerned if I am exposing my plant under too much light. Do you have similar experience or what do you think I should do or is everything golden in your opinion? New light, so as the environmental conditions change for my plant here, I am adventuring in an unknown territory.

I cheated a little bit and used sunglasses last night when I stared at the lights btw :cools: ....but I still got my eyes burned LOL

I think it's all looking great mate! I've noticed in my photos ...especially the overhead shots - the plants seem a littler paler than they are in real life, and the photos i take when i kneel down to their height seem more naturally "green" ... as in not N deficient looking lol. I think it's the "white" in the light

The leaves don't look bad to me! .... We should go and snoop tangs telos thread lol ... he can take a good photo!! see if ours are looking "on track"

I'm definately finding it a lot easier to "read" the plant with an orange instead of pink light! :D

Yeah so I gather you are having somewhat similar experience! I think I do an update soon without Telos being on to get the "real picture" of how she is doing ;)

Hey @blue here is a picture of her taken with just soft room lights on. I think that is mild case of light stress on the leaves. Nothing major but still! Perhaps I back off just a bit and allow her to get used to this intense light. Might you have a thought to spare about this @TaNg ? Always a bit of a hassle to get new lights dialed in so I would appreciate some help, pretty please?

Ok. Forget it guys. I think I jumped the gun just a little being so hyper about the new lights :hothot:

Checked the EC again this morning and it seems she is eating ever more and perhaps this overall paleness is but a result of too low feed combined with her intense light and warm. I went ahead and took the lights to 70cm and I intent to keep them there as she streches and hopefully she adjusts to it like she wants to. As the humidity is today a bit lower I had a luxury of opening a window to cool down the room some. Temps dropped by 1,6 C from that so I hope it would help a bit. I don't see the situation going any worse from here on so I got this :baked:

Thank you for your nice compliments! :pass:This grow is competing in both Seed Stockers and COB Grow Battle so I must finish her with my COBs. However, I have undocumented BAM grow going on that I think Telos will go and finish off. Depends on how soon I get the unit I might even start a late journal on that one and then fresh one with Auto Ultimate. I really would be after that pound per plant -badge LOL

Yeah I have never grown this strain before but I figured she would grow big. Good thing I started LST early on so I can keep her down and manageable.

You couldn't resist the power of Telos then! Maybe this NL could be a 1lb plant?

I think 70cm is a good height before stretch. I have noticed the colour temp of photos being odd depending on the angle and height from the light?

:crying: LOL Yeah I couldn't :pighug:

Yeah I was first hoping to have it in my BAM grow but that one is already maturing so much that Telos wouldnt have done too much for her anymore. However, with this grow it can have a very meaningful impact still so I transformed this grow to be Telos -grow for now ;)

Oh yeah. I set 1lb as my personal goal for sure! One can always hope! Thanks for giving out your opinion and help. Feels better to have someone confirm these desicions I've made :d5:
