maybe i am worried about nothing?

With node spacing of 4" they are very stretched. So either the light was too high or it's just not enough light. Place your hand, palm down, at the top of the plant. Lower you light till it feels comfortable on the back of your hand after 30 seconds.

You can get a pH tester and nutrients at a hydro store or order off the internet. The Hanna Combo is a good pH meter and is what I use, about $130. Or you can pick up an aquarium test kit. They are not near as accurate but are better than nothing. First do the pH tests to see where you're at, then we can address how to correct it.

Any and all Miracle Grow products are not recommended for growing weed. I assume yours has slow release nutrients, which can be problematic. Next grow, best to get some better soil.

I am using miracle grow porting soil. I don't water on a schedule but it needs to be watered every 3 or 4 days. The plant is stratching a lot, the branches are about 4 inches apart. I'll post pics when I get to my computer later. What's the best way to test ph? Where can I get a tester? Where can I buy nutes?

I think I caused it to grow tall, I think I moved the light up too high too fast. But its still young and there are about 15 points where buds are just starting. I feel like it will stop growing up now and focus on growing outwards.

I didn't want to use nutes, especially now that the buds are starting I feel like I might be too late to start. Since its my first grow I think I want to see how she will do on her own.

I believe the ph is my problem, but let's say it is too low or high. What do I add to change it? How much? How often? Do I need to do a "flush?"

Thanks, sorry if that's a lot of info

Well, im doing the best with what i can afford

Here are some pics. all in all i think its going very well. Maybe i will step it up to a bigger bulb with my next plant. But if this ends up producing a good amount of budz then i dont want to go crazy with it.

Its still going to be smokable, right? the miracle grow wont cause it to not be usable? I was told by multiple people that miracle grow is perfect for plants, but they dont really know too much. The more info the better. Its ridiculous, i wish someone would just put together a guide that has all necessary info for growing auto's. Iv had to take so much time and effort to piece together the proper way to grow a platn, and apparently im still very far off. Muddy, you seem to really know your stuff, maybe you could make a guid and sell it and become rich lol thanks for your help. ill get back to you as soon as i get my ph readings.

your plant looks light stretched from bulb being to far away early in the grow or could be a poor pheno a short indica dom would be a better strain for you
yes your bud will be fine to smoke with a good flush in the end
the tip looks slightly over fert just give plain water and monitor the situation
also there is guides on here if you look hard enough

One of our hopes in setting up the New Growers forum is that people will talk to use before they get started so we can advise them on how best to start a grow. Unfortunately you're already started so we'll try and help you make the most of it.

The yellowing on the tips of your leaves is a classic problem with the slow release nutrients in the MG soil. They aren't the right NPK ratio, especially for young plants, and often too strong as autos tend to be a bit nutrient sensitive. This will inhibit your ability to feed them the proper bloom nutrients once they start to flower. For now all you can do is give them plain, pH balanced water.

I'm working on a guide but won't have time to finish it till after I retire in November.

Plants are too close to the light.

Tips....Not all didn't he say? Not trolling. Maybe the medium is pre fert type? I don't Ph my water i use soil. My run of is sound. But not defo lights are 2 close. Just saying:thumbup: oh ok I've just seen that the knowledge guys are here lol....leaving it to them. Ps your lights WEREN'T 2 close.
