Well, I wouldn't really say there was a chance to participate if we're being truthful but no worries, not a big deal. If you do anything like this in the future maybe you should hash it out with Mossy first and see if there is a "fair" way to do this so everyone interested would have a "fair" chance. For instance a random drawing etc. There were a lot of people in bed sleeping when you posted that the first 20 people get a chance. Seriously! Have a good one.
Evening Margahooja, the pormotion was really an unexpected one, forgive me don't give you guys imformation in advance, cause I don't know it as well. lol :pass: I promise next time, will discuss with Mossy and give you guys a fair chance,

Well when my bullshit alarm goes off, I tend to react and really, I think my post put a BIG spotlight in an issue that needed immediate attention.

I've had a conversation with Tina, and I'm willing to reserve judgement on Mars Hydro as a company. Lets see if they can come forward and do the right thing, and also to learn, negative criticism isn't bad for you unless you product is junk, and Mars Hydro's product are not, they are well made and effective. And realize, some people post very negative reviews merely out of spite, and we can spot them and ignore them, just as easily as we can spot phony, gushing praise.

So Mars Hydro, step up and prove just how good you can be! Keep making good products, and keep letting people post honest reviews, we all win in the end that way!
Thank you pop, I really appreciated that your objective view, good products will stand up no matter how seriesly the competitors abuse them. I believe too customers are more wise than we thought, they can tell what is the truth and what is lie. :d5: We are making progress each day, trying to find the problems in our lights, and upgrated them, trying to develop new models and also provide better price than other companies. You see we are working hard, and we want every grower can benefit from our products. :bighug:

Pop22 you are to true! I am nobody that is for sure, but honestly, I feel better knowing you are here, aware and willing to say foul when you perceive a dysfunction, keeps us honest and true. Thank you pop22 for stepping into the breach.
Evening paddler54, I am glad you all here, and pop22 is really a very good members here can help you improve.

Well I received my Mars hydro 96*3 reflector today. So far very pleased. Any recommendations on hanging heights? :)
High TRIPDOG, if this is the first time you use LED, please start the light at higher position, let your plants accommondate to it first. say around 24~30 inches above the plants first. Then you can lower the light step by step. During veg, the recommend distance is 18~24inches. During flower, you can hange them around 12~18inches, remember more cal and mag dear :toke:

Thanks pop22. After I posted I found some recommended heights on Mars website. I presume they are on the safe side as a bit higher than yours. Will lower it a bit and use your heights as a guide. Thanks again.
Yes, like pop said, every strain is different, also every one can grow differently, you can also find your own way to do it, as long as your plants love it. :bighug:

every strain can be different in what it will tolerate. I've had soome I could get to 12" without light burn, a few don't like more than 16" but I test each grow to see how they react. just watch for heat stress or light bleaching
:d5:

Has anyone seen the two old style 300 watts on eBay for $137? I am about to buy a 300 watt reflector to add to my own two 300 watt old models. Why not get two more for that price instead? Would like some comments, particularly from one of my many Heros on this site, pop22. I am going to be growing in a 4'x4' tent.
Hello 1guy1plant, you can definitely use the pair of 300w lights in your 4x4 space, your plants will love them, and yes EB has very favorable prices for old model, I admit it :pass:

A pair of 300 watt old style will be great in a 4x4. I've grown several plants at once under mine in a 4'x4' so adding that reflector midel you'll be blasting them girls! I think you'll find it a very good combination.

:pass:
Defenitely
