Hello SHRED, those are the IR lights, they are invisible to human eyes, but they are working. :d5:
I noticed my Mars II 900W light has 5 LEDs not working.
At what point is there a noticeable performance drop? 10? 15? 20?
What is the procedure for replacing burnt out LEDs?
Thanks Weed
Hey Shred can we get a pic of lights on. Reason i ask is i think you may be mistaken the IR bulbs as burnt out diodes.

IR is not able to be seen with the human eye so thats why they may appear out.

Hi Tina

l have a question regarding spectrum. When you(Marshydro) decide on the Spectrum for a light, can you explain why UV-B is not included?

Some LED manufactures/sellers include UV-B, claiming of course it is important and beneficial, whereas others don't seem to think it is worth bothering.

I know you can custom build your LED's with UV-B if this is requested.

Reason for asking is a discussion about UV-B in another thread, and it is hard to find any solid scientific evidence about any possible UV-B effect.

Hello Corge, very good question! :tiphat:
The thing is we do want to put uvb into the light spectrum, but as far as we know, we can only put uva into the light spectrum. However, plants only need uvb instead of uva, so we do not have UV lights in our LEDs. You mentioned some company do use uvb, can you tell me which one, you can PM me if you like. We may do some research then.
Actually, if you want to use uvb, you can simple add some T5 in the tent together with our LEDs, T5 can produce a lot uvb plants need. Hope this helps.

Tina, here goes

http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/fe...hydro-ion-8-1546w-led-grow-light-fsf-uvb.html Although these chaps specify their UV-B light as 380 nm.....could be a typo...UV-B being in the 280-315 nm range!!!

If you google "LED grow lights with UV-B" thou will find aplenty.....no kidding!!.......and plenty canna related articles about the possible desirable effects of UV-B....

There is no solid proof that adding UV does enough to bother using. And even if it did do anything, it would not be enough to matter. When someone shows me solid proof ( scientific proof )that I’ll have a better yield or increased caanabinoids, then I'll worry about whether or not to use it!

Pop the Nanometers of Uvb are helping out a lot with the Production of Resin...But so does the warmwhite coolwhite too. So the Topleds have Warmwhite coolwhite on board so there is no need for the Uvb Stuff there. Oveload of Uvb is more harmfull to the plant than Produktive.

That of course is the next question......Dosage......just hanging some UV-B lights in the grow room appears to be a bit happy-go-lucky......if it as Pop says, actually has a positive influence. The California Light Workers party has this to say

turned on during final few weeks or “finishing” phase of the grow cycle to boost the potency of the final harvest.
