Sorry Bandit, coz Mars Pro is kinda our best series so far, so the price will be little higher than other series, but no worries, the reflector lights will also do good thing for your plants as well. :bighug:

Happy Weekend guys. :frog:
And by the way, I wanna inform you a good news, that after long time discussion, we decide we will give you two year warranty instead of one. The detailed warranty policy will be shown on our new website and everything is very clear there. :greenthumb: No matter what happens to your lights, you will know what we will going to proceed with your lights and help you,:cooldance: and there will be no confusions. :pop:

Now if that that new pro series could feed my plants and prune I might think about paying that much but only then. . They are going to gather dust Remotes get lost You can buy a lot of wattage with your mars 2 series for the price of the pro series IMO

so the new pro series with cree chips is 700w and 1200$$ which uses mid level cree XPE chips
i can build a 550w Cree led for 700$$ which would outperform the mars pro series as it uses the new cree cxb 3590 and also top efficiency meanwell drivers
this isnt a mars hydro bashing post
just a question
if i can build a led with new chips and cheaper why cant mars hydro build a led with new leds/cobs with all there buying power?
if the led would cost me 700$ to build i bet with mars hydro bulk buying u could make it for 500$
why not go all out and build a great led?

Normally when something is selling so well the price comes down, not up... If it goes up its just greed on the manufacturers behalf surely? Not saying mars hydro is greedy... Just rule of thumb with all companies generally

Haha Fairlynew, you are right,. Mars Pro is kinda expensive, but the design of the Pro series, only we have till now, The combine of several chips in one reflector cup, but not like the big COB lights, we don't use lens, so light will be much effective, We tested many times before this light finally come out, all the design, the tech, we figure out ourself. :smoking: To be honest, I am very proud of the product, and I do think our designers and engineer worth some return as well :toke:
We don't take profit at the first place. except for the international shipping, the light actually do have a competitive price. :pighug:

The chips we use on our Cree lights are XPE second generation, much better than the first generation. :astar:
I admit that the Cree chips are expensive, we imported it from US, but we order big quantity, so the price cannot be very high than the one you purchase only several. :toke: Like I mentioned above, the design is worthi more money, and to be honest, the lights have target customers as well. Not everyone can afford the Mars Pro, so they will choose Mars II series, :headbang: Not everyone can afford the Mars Pro then they wil choose our Reflector or even the old series. :toke:
Still may also get very good result from our old series as well, it is not always about the chips, the price difference can also lies in other components as well, the Power supply and fan and heat sink are all upgrated on our Mars Pro series, also we add remote controller, all these lead to higher prices. :smoking:
The Cree is more expensive than Epistar chips, though they might not be the best chips in Cree lights, (Cree has very good white lights, but they are mostly for Commercial use) but we choose the most suitable chips considering the spectrum, price, etc. and still they will be customers buy them just because of CREE, :bighug:

If we are greedy, we will not sell the lights our self, we will use export company, and some US company will buy our lights and relabel them, then they can sell at doubled or trippled price, and we can make more money. :pop: And to be honest, I know many Chinese company did this :slap:

I am not being smart but another big company a year ago came out with the so called latest cob tech they were asking three times as much. That company I still see tons of there original led still selling and getting reviewed but I see none of there fancy remote control operated lights nowhere notta. I wish you and you engineers all that success but I will not buy one at that price or will I recommend them your mars 2 and original I will endorse all day long.
