MarsHydro Light Shows 2023
Fruit and vegetables tent setup (HELP)
My new Ts 600 comes in a few days and I'm not sure what's the best way to set up the tent to grow some fruit and vegetables,
ATM I have split it in half but not sure if it's the best way to go, I was gona put the Ts600 in the top and the blurple lights underneath,
I want to go strawberries, mint, basil, peppers, and some other things.
Never grown fruit and vegetables before so this is all new to me and don't want to feck up as its better to ask some people who actually do it.
Not sure if I should scrap the half /half idea and just have it normal again lol,

Not quite sure what you are asking? If you are talking about light placement then light coming from underneath a plant will confuse it. Remember you are trying to duplicate mother nature. Just think to yourself would I find this outdoors?

As to the plant choices anything you can grow in the garden will grow in your tent. They may not like growing next to each other though and mint is very invasive and will choke out all other plants in the same pot. Look up companion planting.

I grew acres of vegetables and cutting flowers outdoors in fields. Early crops were started in greenhouses and then transplanted to get to market first for premium prices. Seeds that were direct planted always produced better fruits and flowers but made way less profit. I suppose with world shipping of so many vegetables nowadays that economic advantage might not be there for an early crop? Haven't farmed in 40+ years now.

Well I suppose I am farming cannabis

Go for it !ate . If you have the time and space it's worth experimenting with

@Born slippy keep the mint out or well away from everything else. Like @Mañ'O'Green said It has tendencies to go mental (I learnt the hard way as it took over 1 of my raised beds! I’ve grown veg for years the strawberries and pepper will do well but the herbs just bung on a windowsill and they will be fine. I’m constantly battling bugs when I grow outside so in a tent u probably wont have that problem. Good luck.

Showing signs of light stress so gona Ave to put my floating heater back in now,
Thought I could put both lights on 80% power and do without it,

Proply have to remove a plant as its not looking too well.
Maybe 2 lights was a piss take lol
Ive got a ts 600 coming tomorrow too for my fruit tent.
could of just used the ts1000 instrad of buying a 600.

Refink on my set up needed, might take out the Ts 1000 cos i was happy before with the way things were with a Tsw2000 on its own.
