Mars Hydro Halloween Gift Voucher Giveaway

The FC-4800, or the FC-E4800, would both be great picks. I'll go with the FC-E4800, ideal for smaller scale growers and a perfect match for the 4x4, it provides great wall-to-wall coverage and has that sweet sweet UV & IR. Double the chips, double your fun!

The FC 4800 is my choice for a 4x4 tent. It's just the right size and wattage for a 4x4. I'm not up to date on the lastest chips, I'm not sure how well the bridgelux chips compare, so I'd go with the FC series over the FCE.

As @Modernviking mentioned. I'm not sure if a 6500 would fit in a 4x4 tent, based on the specs it's nearly 45" wide; that's 1.5 inches between your light and the tent wall. When you add in your negative pressure your tent is pushed against the light. Nearly 700w of led is a bit overkill as well, but if you planned on dimming it down I could see using it in that size space.

Mars Hydro FC 6500 Samsung LM301H Osram Commercial LED Grow Light

The these are the reasons why I would choose the FC-6500 for a commercial 4x4ft grow space.
  • Overview - The FC-E6500 LED Grow Light boasts a powerful 650 watt, Full Spectrum design with Removable Light bars and Driver & Adjustable spacing of the Light Bars
Reason why I would buy a FC-6500 from Mars Hydro
  • The FC- 6500 LED Grow Light’s clever detachable design, gives great flexibility to home garden hobbyists & commercial growers!
  • Its high-performance Samsung Lm301H & Osram 660nm diodes are highly efficient and therefore, saving a decent amount on your electricity bill. Fun fact - The "H" at the end of "Lm301H" stands for "Horticultural", so you know your getting the best diodes for the job! It is also known there are no better red diodes on the market right now, than Osrams high quality red diodes, full stop!
  • Spectrum - 650-665nm Red Light Osram Diodes & 2800-3000K 4800-5000K Warm White Light Samsung Diodes. This Sun like full spectrum lighting, gives an Enhanced Blue Spectrum, which promotes, accelerated veg growth. Whilst the Rich Red Spectrum, boosts crop yield and quality.
  • Coverage - The FC-6500 has 2688 high-quality Samsung & Osram diodes for smooth, even coverage of a 4x4 ft commercial grow space . As an AFN grower, we only want the highest and best quality yields, this what we strive for. So for this reason, I choose the "commercial standard" coverage of 4x4ft. For regular growers and lesser mortals, this light will cover 5x5 ft (flowering stage).
  • Specifications of the High Efficiency Electrical Draw is only 651W±5% @ 120V - 638W±5% @ 240V & 636W±5% @ 277V of power. Depending on, which location you are in and the Voltage of your countries electrical supply.
  • The FC - 6500's "Detachable Design" - Not only is the driver removable, but the light bars can also be detached, making it simple to install, store, and replace the light bars. The removable driver, allows you to place it remotely outside the grow space, which will help keep temps down. This feature also allows for easy control of up to 30 lights, when using daisy chaining.
  • Another great feature is the adjustable light bar spacing, you get to space them to suit your specific grow space needs, giving you maximum efficiency from your grow light.
  • Uniform Par Distribution - Par: 1842 µMOL/S - PPE Value:2.85 µMOL/J This is industry leading efficiency, which will help you grow superior crops and will also save you money!
  • This Light’s innovative diode arrangement gives you a more even and efficient light distribution, which in turn gives a more uniform result for your crop.
  • The daisy chain dimming allows up to 30 lights to be joined together and controlled from a single master light.
  • Mars Hydro’s FC-E6500 design includes a dimmer knob, which gives you the flexibility you want from seedling to final stage of flowering. You can dim from 10-100% of brightness.
  • The aluminium heatsink has a large surface area, which increases its passive cooling by 30%.
  • The lights are IP65 waterproof certified rating which gives you peace of mind, when using it in a high humidity environment,as required for high quality growing. IP65 Enclosure - IP rated as "dust tight" and protected against water projected from a nozzle.
  • The FC- 6500 perfectly compliments the Mars Hydro Mars Hydro 48"X48"X80" Hydroponic Indoor Grow Tent L4 x W4 x H6.5 Ft (L120 x W120 x H200 CM). Yeah I'd also do the FC6500 Series Mars Hydro light, those Bridgelux chips have piqued my interest, and the size, the ability to fold a little for better penetration - just the whole shebang - that light would crush it. And imagine how nice it would look in journal pics!
I think you missed an "E" as it is the FC-E6500 with the Bridgelux diodes, you can still edit.

Here comes the first question! :eyebrows:
If you have a 4x4 tent, which Mars light do you want to match? :bighug:

FC series? FC-E series? Or TS series?

Pick the lights you think would work best and tell us why you picked them.

The first winner will be picked on October 24.:jointman:

I own a TSL 2000 and it amazing. So I would be inclined to vote for a TS! (Although I wouldn’t sat no to a FC/FC-E lol)

I would pair the FC-E4800 with a 4x4 tent

Great coverage, dimmable, lighter than the FC, has UV built in (i just bought a 24" UV light so that would be a bit of a kick in the nuts), runs cooler for that tight space and a 100+ bucks less than the FC.

I would be leary about putting my money out there on the new diodes but I feel the manufactuer would step up to the plate if anything was wrong.
