Manifolding Autoflowers.

I'm pretty keen to try doing a manifold grow on my Autos but not sure about the best way to do it.

I have been growing 4 autos per run scrog style in my 4 X 4 and they are over packing the tent so I'm looking for a way to thin things out and make the tent easier to manage. I have them in a smaller tent for the first 6 weeks and then finish them in the 4 X 4. I'm looking for a way to have them trained and defoliated when they make the move. Because working on them in the 4 X 4 is nearly impossible. I was thinking that a manifold style would allow for this.

I know they say you can't manifold autos but I'm sure that we know this is bullshit. So please chime in if you've run an auto grow manifold style and let me know the good and bad of it and what to expect.

Don't be afraid to have a hack.

I do some things slightly different to say manifolding photo periods.

I tip after the 2nd node then again on the next node set.
My thinking on this is as its an auto theres no time to waste so rather than wait for 3rd or more node set to grow then tip just do it asap.

This pic is of current grow at about 3-4weeks old.

Yeah I was thinking that approach would make sense. I was actually going to top at the third then top again at third but keep the growth between the cuts and use those branches as my tops. This should create 12 tops per plant.

Can anyone spot a problem I might have doing it this way?

Just to give you an idea of what I'm working with. This is what my tent looks like now. All I did here was heavy LST in weeks 3-6.

I've only been growing about a year and so far I've been overly hesitant with defol or lollipopping. Obviously it's now time to look at a way of cleaning things up to get some better light penetration.

They copped a bit of burn this time from high EC and too little run off. But things are back on track after a good flush.
...great grow dude, they look fantastic......I top and train all my plants lol...if you have any questions I will try and answer as best I can..:d5:
have a look at some of @Vapo threads he likes to mainline a auto or two
..Thanks for the mench TF....my gromie..:headbang:

This is a Cosmic Bomb Auto I topped today, before and after....imho it's best to top just once....but they also said you can't top an auto...topping once just suits me better.....before and after...day 16-ish lol

Looking Stella mate,

Cosmic Bomb is a kick ass strain. First seeds I bought were cosmic bomb, she has big yield potential. I gotta get hold of some more of those.

With these two autos I merely followed manifold instructions I found on GWE.
All except the part " don't try this on autos." I had zero defects or extended grow time.
Auto Northern Lights and Auto BlueBerry Domina.

You might end up defolating a lot of that growth

Now growing a couple of mephs Mango Smile, manifolded, topped 3x in 4.5 gallon bags of 70 coco 30 perlite, only megacrop fed daily, qb1000 & qb2000 in a 4x2x5' tent.
I grew just past six nodes then topped to the third to start manifold at day 25.

Ran qb1000 at increasing intensity 24-0 then day 38 swtiched to qb2000 6-2 schedule. Day 48 added the qb1000 back to run both.

Today at day 69, they do look about 10 days behind other grows of this strain observed online so seems grow time extended from the 3x topping. Hoping to see them plump up now and put out at least 8 zips.. had kinda planned for a 420 harvest but looks more like cinco de mayo.
