Hi friends
in my breeding project i noticed that the males on the early stages are a bit taller then females. They show sex one or two day till the females do.
Does anybody have the same experience or depend it on the strain?

I always wondered exactly what controlled the timing between the two.

Once I got settled in on the same long time routine for everything mine were pretty consistent but opposite of yours.

With mine the females usually show just a bit quicker.

Thanks for the info i think it depends on the strain. Lets wait what other members say.

That was more of a wondering out loud question as opposed to any info.....

I've pondered it many times.... stress, lighting, nutes, strain.... or perhaps all of the above ???

My males almost always show first about a week before. Have to look carefully tho. I do have one phono that waits a little bit before flowering. It grows substantial taller then others.

Normally my males will show first, and will also be taller/thiner than the females. My current project I did have 1 male that was the last to show of 5 plants. I am going for a fast flower pheno so, I will not be using it. My current project strain shows males between 16-19 days.

My males also tend to look a bit stretched and thinner than my females so I can usually go by that as an early educated guess.

But as far as actually showing it seems mine must be atypical when compared to others.

Now when I do photo grows, the males don't really show early. Some do, some don't, but they typically are taller/thiner. Haha and sometimes thats just a tall/thin female too.

Hi friends thanks
for all the posts this is very interesting for my future projects.
