New Grower Male flowers not opening?

I'm into week 5-6 of my grow & was hoping my male plant would be producing pollen by this time. There's plenty of bollocks, but no flowering.

I have it under a 20/4 light, but it was on my cill for a while. Anything I can do to push things along, or do I just have to be patient?

Leave your lights on 24/0 and keep them close. Real close. The excess heat and stress of no dark will push them. Also the pollen sacs are a lot like picking tomatoes. Get them when they ripen and it seems to make the plant produce them faster. I attempt to get them off before they open completely. Don't know why but if you take them off before they are able to open they seem to mature faster. might be some kind of conditioned response telling them that one didn't work so let's try it again before time runs out. You need to give your female about 3 weeks though to let the seed mature and don't pull the seeds off until the plant dries. Give it about a week which is the average hang time.

Thanks for the advice folks, in the end the plant hermied on me so it's a no goer anyway.
