Indoor making my own soil

will this work or do i need to add other things?40 lb.cow compost---8 liters of perlite--2 cups of blood meal--2 cups bone meal--1 1/2 cups epsom salt- also a few crushed eggshells ---i am growing autos---can i put seed strait in this from seed?appreciate all help

this is the soil i am using in my current grow.
but it has to rest for a few weeks before it's ready to use.

but,you still need to start your seed in UN-ferted soil
like a seedling mix...

Lime would be another great amendment. Maybe some peatmoss. You would want your mixture to "cook" for a month. Adding a Compost tea or two during the cook process. The cook process and the lime will stabilize ph. Clean water is also a must. At least that's how I'm doing it.
