Day 15
The karma dragons are doing well so far they got their second feeding today. They haven't showed sex yet but I'm watching them closely. Either tomorrow or Tuesday I'll be getting new led panels and the dragons will be under them the rest of their lives :thumbs:

Hey Mainemedical, I'm finally pulling up a seat for the rest of the show :thumbs:

I just put 2 germed Karmas in soil today, and waiting for 2 more to germ.

Sure hope I get at least 2 ladies out of the four, one to grow outdoors and one indoors.

Anyway, Karma Dragon, Karma growin to you brother.

Not great karma for the karma dragons so far. One of them looks like a male but I'm not 100% sure yet. This is my first time having to sex out plants so I'm not exactly sure what to do with a male. How would I go about keeping the pollen without my other plants getting seeded?

This karma dragon seems to be having some issues. The leaves havent been growing out of the top for 2 days now... which means no more bud sites have appeared

#1 does look to be developing balls..and #2 looks like a freakie..:no:..dead plant walking.

I got 5 fems 3 males outta mine..

How would I go about keeping the pollen without my other plants getting seeded?

You could remove him from the tent..he would survive without Good Lighting..
or..
let the balls develop a bit then cut him down and put him in water like a cut flower...:thumbs:..or place between two sheets of paper and let him dry.

Got to say the cleanest and easiest way I found is the newspaper trick, than once dry I keep the whole sac etc... In a medicine bottle with a few silica packs... (Readily available if you ask your local pharmacist to save you some, say some civic group your with (seniors or children) and that they use them to make arts and crafts to "dry flowers", just a partial white lie)
My jaw dropped when the pharmacist gave me the bag, I was expecting a little zip lock of them...

An entire gal size ziplock over stuffed! Great to also use for seed storage... As far as not pollenating the other plants just be very careful when handling, I mist my entire body head to toe or change clothes before seeing the flowering ladies to prevent as much as i can pollenating by accident...Pollen control is alot harder than I thought...

I pulled both karma dragons today. Won't be starting more for awhile probably but when I do I'll also be starting some Ghaze99 Dragons and instead of promix I'll be using sunshine mix #4 and they'll be under LED from start to finish :thumbs: so considering this thread wont be a just for karma dragons can a mod please change the title to Mainemedical's Dragons Lair
