Live Stoner Chat Lurker decloaking

I'm doing outdoors for multiple reasons, including that I can. But one of the main reasons is the taste. It's been an ambition to do this for a long time ever since I first tasted outdoor homegrown organic in Spain a few years back.
Indoor grow lights are only trying to imitate the perfect grow light that is the sun. IMO the light the plant receives has a huge impact on the terps and nothing can match the taste of sun grown bud.

Agree 110%. I'd love to pop the seedlings straight out under the sun but it's pretty strong and I'm not sure they'd handle it (or the heat and occasional wind when they're only teeny.) What I've been doing is placing them behind a patio door where they're shaded and protected from wind, which works fine but they're taking time to get to a size where they're resilient enough to go out sunbathing.

I don't think the sun can be too strong for a seedling. They won't like extreme cold or hot temps but the light from the sun won't hurt them. If I would throw a couple outside to see how they go.

@Pipeweed welcome along. :welcome: .

Good luck on your grows.

Ta mate. The Blue Cheese I have in right now are looking lovely. Seven weeks old and luscious already. As detailed elsewhere, there was a false start on my Critical grow, but we're off and running now too. Just the heat to worry about.

How long is taking the little ones to get to the third node? As long as they are healthy and happy it might not even be worth worrying about. All my grows take at least 2-3 weeks from seed to get to the third but always finish as massive 5+ ounce plants.

I've checked a seen a lot of grows where the seedling grow faster than they do in my setup but haven't really worried about the comparison too much.
I meant to say the same thing. First two weeks most of the action is below the surface. Growth starts accelerating from week 3 and then your off!!
Don't panic! Just make sure you have well draining soil (Add perlite, coco or peat (add chalk when using peat to counteract the acidity)) and everything will be alright :thumbsup:

Oh and welcome to AFN. The place to be if your in auto's and photo's :woohoo1:
