At what point, such as how many branches or buds per plant, should one stop LST started early for the purpose of making more branches/buds? Can you do too much LST? When, if ever, is it best to stop?

For example, if indoors at the end of veg. growth you have attained a consistent canopy height with large numbers of pre-budding LST-induced branches, should you continue LST throughout the flowering phase (presuming height is not a problem)? How many branches and buds are too many? Is it best to let one or a few branches/buds become the dominant cola(s)?

I LST during the first couple weeks of a plant's life and leave the wires that open the structure in place until harvest ... I help my plants to bush out by lifting the center leaves starting about day 10 ... usually only takes about 12 hrs total time between 3-4 days ... should be a photo of this technique in my current grow and in all my past grows ... there will always be a dominant cola but if possible it's good to try for a uniform canopy ...

I know this is an old thread but I was thinking the same, do I take off all ties in flower or do I leave em on?

Yeah I've left mine on, I'm nearly at harvest. I've learnt that if anything they are beneficial all the way through the grow :')
