Hey guys and girls. I have only run a few autoflower runs in my time, and all have been very recently. Anyway, I'm really really enjoying them. So now I'm beginning to play a bit as I'm starting to get familiar with this strain(Rudy). So, this grow I am trying the first experiment, sort of, due to something I noticed on last grow. I'd like to get some feedback on this if possible as I'd love to start taking clones etc.

So what I'm noticing, is that if lst/hst is performed, before preflower hits. It will delay flowering for a bit. Now I've just begun this experiment, and will continue it on the ne t few grows to get better info, but im curious what others have found as far as manipulating flower initiation. On this grow, just threw topping, i delayed two, all same cultivar, by almost two weeks is seems. Now, there's tons and tons to take in at this point, but is anyone else noticed this or playing with this phenomenon? Sorry it's a shorter than I wanted this to be, but I wanted it out there quickly before I go to work. Of which I'm late from staring at the ladies. Any input is greatly appreciated and when I get time I can elaborate more. Thanks everyone, enjoy your day!

Interested to hear what others say, so subbed up.
I’ve never topped an auto so can’t comment on that, and I’ve always lst’d from between day 14 and day 21 so have no experience of letting them grow naturally to compare.

Great idea to find this out for certain, would be good info for us all! Subbed :smoking:

Just noted that you said about taking clones, not recommended from autos

I'm fairly certain that the reason that taking clones from autos isn't recommended is that the clone will die when the donor dies and not because it will cause any harm to the donor. If the donor isn't healthy in the first place, it might not recover.

I beg to differ good sir. I am watching this grower do it often with amazing success. I do not recommend for any and every one, but it is very possible and has great results. I'll try to find her name and share the work.

The possibilities of being able to manipulate flower initiation, to me, seems super interesting. But so far, I've tried this, or more so noticed this phenomenon, on two different grows, and two different cultivars. As in, delayed flower. Very interesting to me.

I understand what you're saying. But I will say, from what I've seen, the cutting is taken so early, hopefully they're healthy. But very correct and very important, again from what I've seen, health is key, next to timing.

Im sorry, I hope I didn't come off as rude as that is most definitely not my intention at all. I made the mistake and read recommended as possible. Hahaha. You are very correct, not recommended, but possible. I apologize.

:pass: it's cool brother! Just from my knowledge the clone stays in the same phase of life as the mother, flowers at the same time, doesn't have long to veg. It would defo save some serious bank if you can get good results cloning autos :growing:
