Newbie to autos, new to LED's, new to these forums thou I have been lurking around since January.
The last time I grew was in 11' with DWC. 12 buckets, 3 1k HIDs with good results, all photos.
I've been taking pictures since day one and thought I'd share with you fine folks here at AFN, I love the vibe, courtesy and respect here.
My Grow, simple and easy as it gets...
LSD beans from Herbies
5 Gallon buckets with around 4 gallons of soil in each.
Mars Hydro ebay lights, 300 and 600 watt versions. 140 and 280 watt draw.
FaFard professional potting soil, added perlite to the bottom half. I simply poured in a couple gallons of soil and some perlite, mixed it well and added a couple more gallons of soil on top.
Fox farm 3 part nutes
Botnicare cal/mag
Well water, I haven't checked it but back in 11 it was 6.5-7 ph.
I soaked the beans in a cup of water for 24 hrs, they all started to split, I then put them on plain white paper towel for two days till the roots were approx half inch.
I watered the buckets heavy, I dont think I watered for at least 10 days after putting sprouts in.
First watering was with plain water, second about day 14 was with 1/4 strength nutes. I alternated between plain water and nutes every watering. I quickly increased it to 10 ml/2 tsp per gallon of grow big and big bloom, 3 ml of cal mag. I stayed at that till week four then added the tiger bloom to the mix, 10 ml per gal. I started to see cal def at this time and bumped up the cal/mag to 5 ml per gal, seemed to help. My next LSD beans im going to use 5ml cal mag from the get go and nutes every time thru the stretch period instead of alternating with just plain water. I think I lost out on some height by not pushing them in the stretch period.
