I planted it on Feb. 5th so its at 9 weeks and a lot of the bigger fan leaves are yellowing and dying as well as some of the upper leaves around the top of the main cola are yellowing and turning to brown at the tips. I have been giving it water to flush for the past 2 weeks so any help or ideas as to when i should chop it down to dry n cure and stuff or wait til the rest of the leaves die off? Any input is much appreciated...because i really dont want to ruin the potential of a better final product by cutting it to early or late or not drying and curing right

Hi, hows it going?

Thats a nice plant you got there!!! I could be wrong but id say chop it if you have been flushing for 2 weeks, because those calyx look swollen to me! You got some nice dense bud there. If you have a scope higher then 30x check the tichomes to make sure they are all cloudy, and maybe some amber? some members claim they see no amber but some do , so as long as you dont see clear trichomes it should be ready to pick!! But either way it looks done to me, im lovin the fat buds, Nice job!!

It differs in strains but I don't think that's quiiite the yellowing we are looking for yet. I would say in five days she's done. A lot can happen in five days. And yes, as Rello said if you can get a good like at the trichs that would be helpful. A little longer is better than too early. Those look pretty dense and almost ready but I would give her till this weekend. Someone else may say completely different.

Here, check this out. Great thread and you should know what's up after reading this. Thank Muddy>>>https://www.autoflower.org/f44/when-harvest-autos-your-leaves-will-tell-you-4889.html

Hi Ron,

Just a thought... Since the yellowing is located higher in the canopy it might be a nute deficiency due to early flushing. Normally yellowing begins at the bottom during the ripening phase of flowering and works its way up the plant. In any case your very close, the toughest part of raising autoflowers is to get them to week 9, there isn't too much that can go wrong from here on out.

All the best - RF

the thing is when you think shes done she is just getting second wind----after all hairs have tured red you will notice another grow spurt<white hairs apear everywhere.my lowryder, deisel ryders and cronic ryders did this on around day 70 or so until i cut on day 87 or 88 and could have gone to day 90...in soil lights 2 hps 150s 24/0 lights ferts 5-1-1---then bloombusterz till 10 days from harvest just rainwater if possible till harvest

Ya idk i definitely dont want to cut it too soon and wish i hadnt so i think ill prob let it go longer and my light is only a 125 watt cfl fluorowing and ive fed at quarter strength general organics biothrive twice with a little calimagic to with ph adjusted tap water in there too but other than that i just grew in ffof and had a fan blowing on it to recirculate air and fed distilled water the rest of the time. the plant always had yellowing leaves though i just need to get a good microscope to see the trichs better or something...until then ill just keep feeding distilled water every 4-5 days like i have been i guess idk what else to do otherwise?

i learned from my mistake.i cut 1 on 8 weeks another on 9 then 10 to week 11 and the buds got bigger and harder with time.will get you a buzz but not like when ready!!!and more bud is always better.if you are like i was and could not afford to buy alittle to let them go another 14 days then yea cut her but if you can wait ,it will pay off.

Yeah i had a feeling and i mean i can afford to wait longer so ill just let her go another 2 weeks at least just to see what happens...cant really hurt anything really anyways but i cant get rain water best i can really do is get distilled water. at this point im at day 68 so another 2 weeks at the least will put me at 82 days n if i dont have enough time after that ill just cut it but until then is there anything else i should be doing at this point to maximize quantity and quality???
