Lower Leaves Going Yellowish/Brownish

When it comes to VooDoo Juice, as well as Advanced Nutrients other two supplements for roots, they only call for them for two weeks in early veg and, once again, for two weeks in early flower.

That’s it, from start to finish.....

Thanks for the information. I may overused it on day 20 but now the plants are in the first two weeks of flowering so gonna stop using after these two weeks

You’re more than welcome.

I’m glad Advanced Nutrients only calls for their root supplements for 4 weeks. With 14 plants this season I’ll just have enough of their VooDoo Juice, Tarantula & Piranha to meet the “feed schedule” and all three bottles, combined, cost a “pretty penny.”

Damn, I did not even think about this aspect of nutrients. Giving all of them at the same ratio sounds simple and logical yet I missed out on it in my first grow

I will give them at quarter strength and will be careful about keeping them at the same ratio from now on.

I live in a really big city with 20 million population and the the quality of the tap water is really bad. Also the amount of lime (I m bot sure if its the right Word in english, calcitic?) is SOOOO high.Since I did not know the exact amount of time it needs to wait out, I just wait it out for 72 hours (which really is annoying ) just to be sure.

Thank you for all your help. As a first time grower I was losing my faith in being able to learn how to succesfully grow but it gave me hope again to hear your comment. Best wishes to you...

No problem bro. I think the word you’re looking for water high in lime is simply “hard”. I.e., water high in calcium and ppm is “hard water”; whereas the closer to 0ppm, the “softer” the water.

another thing to note, do you have access to de-ionized water at any stores nearby? I’ve seen a few people on here with hard water who would soften it by mixing in some de-ionized water. Again, you’d need the ppm pen to help you along. Alternatively, if your bottled water shows mineral ppms, you could do the math to figure out how much de-ionized water to add to bring total ppm ideally down under 100ppm.

aim for 80-140ppm of calcium.

I checked the drinking water’s information and it says total amount of minerals are “80mg/L” and calcium amount is 13.2. I dont know if this means 80 ppm tho. I will know better once the ppm arrives.

Today, I gave 1ml of Sensi Bloom AB, 0.5 ml voodoo juice and carboload at 6.5 pH (increased the pH). Now I will have to wait and see if there is any recovery ...

Unfortunately, I dont have deionized water available at shops, it seems like I need to get a water filter for better water on next grow.

Also, some parts of the soil is getting hydrophobic but I cant also find yucca powder (problems of living in a shitty country) so I will try to add a drop of soap (as adviced by Man of Green) on my next watering.

Problem:
Some of the lower leaves are turning yellow and brown and drying on all three of my plants (and its happening fast). On the other hand, the tips of the upper leaves are getting a bit yellowish (looking like nute burns). Also on of the plants the leaves have become dark green and the inner parts light green color.

Medium/grow method:
Plagron Light Mix Soil with extra perlite added

Feed: and supplements used:
Was going to follow TaNg’s improved schedule but it did not go well.
Day 1-10: Just phed wa

Day 10: Sensi Bloom AB 1ml, voodoo juice 1ml per liter

Day 15: Sensi Bloom AB 1ml, voodoo juice 1ml, calmag 1ml per liter

Day 20: Sensi Bloom AB 1ml, voodoo juice
1ml, calmag 2ml per liter (I wish I knew its stupid to even think of using calmag but somebody adviced me so I even doubled it up...)

Day 20-32: just plain water because they got nute burned

Day 32: Sensi Bloom AB 1ml, voodoo juice 1ml per liter

water source:
store bought drinking water adjusted to 6.2-3 pH (I will use tap water left to wait 48 hours from now on because I think the ppm of the drinking water is really high) (I dont have ppm meter)

Strain/age:
Jack Herer Auto 36 days old

light used:
Samsung LM301H 240watt quantum board

Climate:
Was too hot at the beginning: 28 C
Then I brought it down to: 25/26 C since last week

Also humidity was around 60% for the first 4 weeks
Now its around 40

Just my 2 cents with a few grains of salt.
Bottled water is good IF you read the label. Is it spring water, distilled or "purified water". If purified, by what process, filter or RO'd
I got caught out on it myself and read the labels now. As far as yucca powder sensi bloom uses their proprietary surfactant Wet Betty in their product. Label reading has become almost a hobby. Lol

I think your tap water is acceptable. 80mg/L is indeed 80ppm. RO’ing is typically recommended if you’re over 100pm, but 80’s not too bad. Let it sit for a couple of hours to get rid of chlorine.

It looks like you will have to consider supplementing with CalMag again, just make sure to scale it with your other nutrients assuming your CalMag contains any nitrogen or other base nutes. If you’re at 13.2ppm in your tap water, add enough CalMag to bring you up to 80-140.

Please read the label on your preferred nutrient to make sure you know what is in it. They spend a fair amount of time and money to come up with as complete a product as they can. The ones that don't aren't usually still in business for long.

My PPM meter will arrive tomorrow (probably just before I water) so I will be able to see the exact number. Should I use calmag on the waterings in between nutrients or should I use it with other nutrients?

What ppm should I aim for with the nutrients for my plants (5weeks old-early flowering period)? Is there any charts?

This is my calmag:

All my other nutrients are Advanced Nutrients, just my calmag is different brand
