I was wondering what your guys experiences were with LST and autos and if it increases yield and is effective and if so tips on performing it.

It's strain dependant and it's not necessarily bigger yields but more consistent size, density ect as for doing the lsting it's best to go slow to cause the least amount of stress topping works well also but again strain dependant.

I figured I would try one lst on one and topping on the other hopefully it goes well.

Much of what I've leaned about LST and topping comes from @autobeast 's thread on topping autos. What I've learned is that LST can start at pretty much any height as long as you're able to ensure that the main stem doesn't snap or uproot the entire plant. This can be achieved by tying off the main stem and securing it to the opposing side of the container. If a few fan leaves need to be removed (so that they don't sit in the soil) don't hesitate to remove them. I focus more on removing inner-facing secondary leaves that might be blocking any bud sites that show potential. If you're going to top your plant(s), it's best to have that done before day 21. After letting it recover for five or six days, LST can begin. The goal is to create an even canopy so that there's no longer one dominant bud side but rather a whole bunch of bud sites that should be receiving the same amount of light and should produce buds that are about the same size. It sounds like a lot to remember but once the ball gets rolling it kind of becomes common sense.

My understanding of LST so far.
Is that the main stem no longer gets all the growth hormones at the tip.Auxins I believe.
So once the plant is bent over, these hormones are now spread accross the new vertical tip ( which is 4 6 or 10 branches).
Each stem (node), now thinks and acts like the main stem.

Lst does indeed do great things for autos.once u tie a branch down, it does then think it is and becomes a dominant branch and cola.also all middle.growth u allow to see light will also give u more dominant colas of the same size to play with.and lst does increase yield.happy growing every1;)

Topping with lst is my preference doing one or the other works well for alot of strains hears a pick of one that was only topped the other in the pot wasn't topped
