Ok so I see a lot of peeps asking what kind of light to use. I can't take credit for this because I found it in the diy led forum . Off the shelf screw in led light bulbs by @Mr. Sparkle . A great read he did a lot of research. You can find out more at Imc there is about a 200 page thread on this subject. I'm currently running 16 -16 watt 100 equivalent led bulbs that you can get just about anywhere. So I have about a 250w led light I spent around 65 bucks American. You can change spectrum and wattage as easy as changing a light bulb lol. I just think it's a great idea and I am very excited with my results. So here is some pics of my setup. And if you do consider making a light be safe and know what you are doing with the electric please be safe .PEACE OUT.

What size is that space? This looks like an awesome solution to budget lighting! Im running a 300 watt dual spec cfl and your setup is kicking its ass! Lol

It's 30x30x 84 inches. Yeah switch out thoes old school cfl to some led bro you won't be disappointed.

I'm going to be doing a grow journal with this light in a couple of weeks . To show how effective they are.

Some Tricombs pics. A handy tool for 10 bucks.

I hear cobs are the business for effeciency and light penetration

Thoes would probably work great. Might be more expensive than the regular led lights like this.

That's weird. Not sure why that did that are u using 2700 and 6500 mix? @Tommy boy and what brand bulbs are you using. I think I'm going to try this for my seed cab I'm setting up

I used just 5000k for the first 4 weeks than added 2700k . Now I'm running 12 2700k bulbs and 4 5000k for flowering. The bulbs I'm using are great value from Walmart. They are 100w equivalent. I think I only payed 13 bucks for four. The 60w equivalent cost half as much.
