Hi All

Just about finishing first grow using a tent for three plants AWW grow using Coco-Loco and 2 - 450w Vipar Spectra LED lights and they are doing ok.. I think. lol. Anyways was looking at upgrading to a different light.. so looking for suggestions. Atm it seems like either one HGL 260w XL QB V2 Rspec or two 135w QB V2 Rspec is where I am looking and this comes mostly from reading on here? Suggestions on which one would be best.. and if there are better choices I sure would look at them. Right now I am planing on only having two.. maybe three plants at some time, flowering at a time.. with another two in veg.

TIA
GW

Nice plants!

While others come to give their input, I can say I'm sure you will love QBs... and HLG won't let you down and both options would work, but if I could afford it I'd go with the two 135s thinking about being able to adjust height independently for when growing diferent phenos.

BTW, if you want same quality as HLG at a bit lower price, consider BudgetLED.

Have you looked at the new marshydro ts series? Brighter than my qb 120v2 and has deep red

COB Light is the way to grow, IMO ......

Get smarter on all here at MIGRO

Migro actually done a test on ts series and says that it's the best tech out right now comparing watts per par.

I recently upgraded my lighting to a ts1000 + 2 autocobs. Finding they both need to be closer to flowering plants than manufacturers recommend.
I replaced 2 blurples and so far, I've noted a decrease in yeild and bud growth...
With the blurples, wall watts was 240...with cobs and ts1000, wall watts = 280...
Tent is 6 sq ft, specs show one thing, reality is quite the other.
After 14 yrs of constantly improving some small facet of growing my meds, this major change has yet to prove its value to improving things. Perhaps it just another learning curve.....
Be aware of changes with upgrades.

depending on your budget the sanlight Q6W are expensive but will take your growing up massively ive been using 2 in a 4x4 tent but you would get away with 1 in a slightly smaller space there a link to my yr long journal if you want to take a look and i won 4 growers of the year contests this year on here with them including led grower of the year i cant speak any higher on the product also there modular and that means in years to come you can swap the led blocks out with newer tech

Blurples were given a bad rap because they are inexpensive. I grew some great plants under inexpensive LEDs. I have yet to find a single light fixture that has it all. So I run several different fixtures to achieve what I want. A UFO full spectrum Realardro (blurple) for germination, Then 2 - royal Blue COBS with my 14 - Citizen 1212 3500K 90 cri COBs for veg. The Citizen COBs run a little less blue than I want. Then I add 2 - 48" AgroMax UVA Plus 10,000K fluorescent the last 4 weeks of flower (improve terpene profile). Then 1 AgroMax 48" Pure UV (75% UVB, 25% UVA) the last 3 weeks just 2 hours a day (increase THC).

Now when I open a jar of cured bud the whole house is filled with fragrance and my latest lab test showed 22% THC on the StarDawg plant.
