imo and no offence to wiz but jems are for beauty and showing people, but they lack that full wack stoned. mi5 (especialy) and hbd can grow so large you could fill your space with a few plants. but there are shorter phenos aswell. ive had mi5's grow so big in the garden they put the photoperiod girls to shame.

look at bad betty in the seed shop, imo she is a fantastic strain to grow in a sog packed tight together, I have seen non to minimal side branching on them, normall just the bottom internode streches up but you can cut the bottom few internodes early on. she packs a punch and has the same beautifulness about her as the jems, but this time in red. mmmmmmmmm bad betty

mr. mcgregor's trying to turn you on to the Viagra bud :hot:

Hahahahaha, thats soo funny you just said that cuz I just finished reading that in the description in the e-shop. Every strain does that to me, or maybe its the sexual primetime... lmao. back on topic.

Now Bad Betty -
Potency?
Yield?
East of grow?

But yes, this is what I am looking for in terms of that nice central cola. I can handle some trivial side branches here and there.

I think that I am possibly sold on the Bad Betty. My only concern now is yield. @ 3-4 months of time to produce (including cure), I want to make it worth my while and have enough bud to last me at least 6 months. I consume about 3oz per month between myself, family, and friends. So to have about a years worth of bud, I am looking to score around an OZ per plant, More never hurts tho. After this next grow I am going to lay low for awhile due to a transitory period in life with work, school, housing, ect ect, so I want to make sure I have something to fall back on.

But like I said, I know that there are a multitude of factors that go in to yield. I just want to be sure the genetics themselves are easily/moderately capable of hitting an oz per plant.

I'll be running 4 - 600W 7 band LED's in my Aeroflo36 system with the FULL lineup of AN nutes + CO2, and finally a water chiller (been an issue lately). Oh, and some acquired experience to apply to this next grow. (Yes!)

Just got done watching my buddy grow bad betty. He didnt pay her to much attention and still got close to 20g. Has a floral smell and taste. Not like skunky weed that i am use to

From my experiences with several batches of mi5 from different sources, i wouldn't say it's medicinal grade - more of a day smoke to me. Perhaps the interpretation of potency varies here :D Cant comment with regards the Onyx although i have heard impressive things about the high.

Heres a pic of my current MI5. Not to much side branching going on. You're right, the onyx has more side branching. Not gonna lie though, I'd like to see you grow out a bad betty .

Now Thai Buddha, I have read in numerous forums that the HBD is an unstable pheno, although I've had that on the back on my mind lately too.

Can any hydro guys chime in on to whether or not it would be a smart idea to run 2-3 different strains in the Aeroflo unit? Only downfall I see would be different growth rates and different nutrient uptakes. The plant height isn't so bad due to -will be- having 4 total LED's to raise and lower in the different quadrants of the grow table, But the nutrient requirements, I haven't assessed that problem yet. I know strains can be drastically different, but what if it were two similar strains? (ie. both indica dominant)

Still salivating over that Red Betty though.... would love to see 36 stalky central colas.
