Hey, what is the longest you have had an auto go after showing sex to actually start flowering ? I'm on day 48 for a auto critical mass from QSC which is supposed to be an 85 day strain and still am not really seeing much flowering yet. Sexed probably 2 weeks ago. In soil under 18/6 feeding Remo bloom, micro and sensi calmag+ for last 10 days.

Thanks for your help/input.

@Trichome Jim :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:. Several factors can slow a plant down. First is the strength and spectrum of your lights. You need 28 -32 DLI in a red heavy spectrum for flower. Temperature and RH. If it is cool it will slow the plants down. 68°F night time and 78°F day time is best with >40%<60% RH. Last but not least is your nutrient blend, many new growers think that they can push flowering with their nutrients. This is not the case and you should be feeding Veg nutes until flowering is actually under way. Limiting nitrogen too early will slow growth.

Now for the obvious Genetics. No two seeds are the same and plants do not have a calendar. The breeders time line exists only in the Twilight Zone:rofl:.

Be patient if they are showing sex they will flower.

:goodluck:

Thanks for your response .

It is also two of the same seeds that are both looking like they are on the same clock. Both the Remo Bloom ( 1-4-7) and micro(3-0-1) both contain nitrogen as well as the sensi calmag+(4-0-0) was thinking that would be enough nitrogen for this stage of growth. They are under a mars sp150 in a grow cab 18" by 32" ,temps are 68+ in dark and 78 or so lights on. They have also been topped and lst'd . These are my first autos I have grown photos previously.
I will bring the nitrogen back into the next feed and sit back and relax.

Thanks again.

I do not know how this CalMag shyte ever got started but 99,999 grows out of 100,000 do not need extra calcium or magnesium. It has been a long time since I looked at the Remo line but if I remember correctly it has plenty. I have been working at plant nuturition for a long time and the one thing I now firmly believe is that you should not mix and match vendors products. Most of them do not disclose what is in each product so you have no way of knowing what you are actually putting in the pot!

Vendors spend tons of money developing their products to work together to keep your nutrients in balance. Balance is absolutely critical to success. My recommendation would be to use Remo's entire line on their schedule.

Thanks .
I had the calmag already but yes that is the plan going forward.
Thanks again
