Longest growing autoflower?

What I do in outdoor guerilla grows during summer with temperatures around 40 degrees celcious and lasts about 3 weeks is this

Nice, if I were to guerilla grow here in Ireland it would be very rare it needed water we have way too much of the stuff all year a problem you don't have in Greece for sure. I would be looking up videos on building a shelter to protect plants from wind and rain :crying:

This might come in handy the next time I go on a long trip during a grow to keep the ladies fed

I don't have any video handy to show you how to make the shelter. I obviously wouldn't dare to film while I make one but I know exactly what you need. I train and prune bushes about a year before I do guerilla grows, in order to camouflage from police helicopters and drones when I grow outdoors. But it is a very good solution for wind protection and to keep animals away from our weed. I will check with a few friends of mine I have a slight suspicion they do have something filmed.

Autos wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for photos lol. But photos are garbage lol. Wow this new generation is gullable!! Autos are a freak of nature we created. U know why we made em? Cause of greed lol. U can't clone them u can't do shit less u breed them !! So in another words u buying seeds every time !!! That's garbage. Buy some photos clone em a few times and make new strains and move on. Or waste all you're fucking money on seeds lol . keep growing autos and making the breeders rich. Myself I like to buy nice shit and giving them all that cash is a no no. Photos for life [emoji631]

The solution for you not to buy seeds is to make your own seeds.
Either you get regular auto seeds and you do the regular process of making seeds.
Or you produce feminised seeds with colloidal silver. You have 2 options for this.
You can turn a plant to male and pollinate a few branches in every plant. You can also clone a few branches and pollinate these when they flower - they will not get big but they will produce more than enough seeds.

I prefer autoflowers, but it's healthy to be challenged by the old skoolers every so often. Trouble is, they're running out arguments so now it's down to cost. And I actually think autoflower seeds will eventually be quite a bit cheaper than photos precisely because they can't be cloned. e.g. Business reports are almost always cheaper in hard copy than PDF for this very reason, even though they are more expensive to produce.

Isn't the main advantage of autoflowers outdoors that you can more or less time the summer solstice with the peak bud production stage (incidentally, when is this?) for higher thc levels (even if the plants are quite small, but just plant more, right?)

Me personally I am an old school guy when it comes to photos. They are very tame plants that you can achieve everything with them.
However there is the weakness of depending on photo period and relative heat to grow so you are restricted to growing at the expected one third of the year outdoors.
Autos don't have these restrictions. They are untamed weeds that defy these two major restrictions. So you can grow them at times when no-one expects this.
Indoors they have the advantage that they are less sensitive if immune to light leaks and require less attention. Also SOG style they produce relatively more than photos of even bigger size and faster.
But being an untamed weed has disadvantages for the grower. If something goes bad you cannot correct it since vegetation is limited. I don't believe they are the best choice for new growers only well experienced growers have the ability to master their grow to an adequate extent. If they were truly easy we would not have this forum in the first place.
For new growers I recommend starting with a feminised photo and then to try something else.

Damn makes me think why even grow autos when you can grow photos in the same time frame? I guess I'll find out how much longer she takes if it's worth it or not. May just grow back to photos instead if that's the case. Least you can get some bomb strains and clone them then.
It's a good question.

My thoughts are I have limited space so keeping a mother is out. I am also only growing for myself so I am not trying to get maximum yield and prefer quality over quantity. I also feel like unless you pheno hunt before choosing a Mom you might miss out on a special pheno in a pack and I like some variation in my smoke.

I also like growing fem Autos and I have had a few finish right along the breeders timelines but they were really fast plants and didn't get real big. not having to worry about light schedules is another though I just started a photo seed.

There are pros and cons to every side.

If you grow indoors in a busy house/family environment, then light leaks are inevitable. So autos are the solution to this. But if they get stressed, you must be a very skilled and experienced grower to overcome this, not to mention a very stubborn one... Photos from seed especially in a 12/12 from seed grow are a safer way to start and gain confidence in your growing capabilities.

I don't know man they are pretty easy to grow I never grew before and started with autos yielded 85g and 65g off my first 2 autos and the one I just harvested the other day is projected to be around 90g, also the one I am about to harvest this week is looking around the same.

I had a few problems in terms of overfeeding and nutrient lockout as you know and if I paid more attention from the start and did a little more research I might not have even ran into these problems.

From my experience the autos are a breeze to grow and any issues I faced were easily fixed with a flush. I think if someone had sound advice from the start in terms of watering correctly and not going too heavy on nutes any dummy could grow them and I'm only saying this because I'm one of those dummy's who didn't really start to pay attention and really listen to advice people gave me and apply it until my 3rd plant when it was in a bit of trouble.

I think that if I went to grow regular photo strains now I would do very well because of my experience growing autos. A problem that people who are new to growing might run into with photos is controlling humidity for the 12 hours lights are out you would not have this problem to deal with so much with autos as you could give them 18-24 hours of light so the duration humidity would rise for is greatly reduced. That's just my 2 cents as a new grower starting with autos
