Morning mossy I do love eggs and I could probably use the poop ,I am always asking neighbors with livestock about there poop haha even met a guy who has a interestingly different animal a creature called a kavy there from Australia, kinda look like a rabbit with a deer head ,any way soon enuff my ladies are gonna try kavy poop ,if I make any break throughs with it of course I will share the information lol .

I have to admit I am confused does that come from a regular chicken,I love eggs wonder if I could have chickens I do live in the boonies of Oregon.
Chickens are a great food source for the homestead.Winters too long and cold up here, but, lived in the Mts of Montana and chickens did great! Free ranged during the growing season you get yokes deep dark orange, loaded with life and nutrition, used to eat a dozen at a time! Hungry trail topping off before heading to the woods on the mountain side. When they free range pretty much take care of themselves, of course you need to protect them from varmints. And, chicken soup loaded with veggies from the garden is the best!

Special breed for egg white omelettes and meringues trailanimal...:coffee:...

One of the new hens has started laying them..sometimes they do have strange eggs when they start to lay..but it is the first time I have seen no yolkers...
Albino eggs(cos an egg without a yolk, is not really an egg, is it...no potential chicken?) ... (Plus the yolk`s the tasty bit! :eyebrows:)

You can get some funny anomolies when they first start laying..so Hopefully they will grow out of it..the young dog is getting them as an afternoon treat at the minute.
They are a talking point..one even made it on to social media..

Has anyone played lettuce penyatta..(sp) with them..?

Tie a lettuce up..out of their reach and watch them jump for it..whatever they knock off they get to keep..unless they get mugged by a bigger chicken on the way down..:coffee:
