I need to clean both my aluminum and plastic grinders ... any recommendations for a safe way to clean them ??
Thanks for the input ...

:tiphat:

I always have a jar of grain alcohol around...my scissor/finger hash jar.
I clean everything sticky with this.
The alcohol dissolves the resin and dries to nothing. I pour the alcohol back in the jar.
After a while it can get to be a powerful tincture (especially around harvest time)...I wouldn't drink it but have put it in some pain rub I made.

Greenjeans the top two seedlings are autos, the bottom two are photos (you can see the photo on the left heaved out of the rockwool hence the exposed root). You can tell the different shade of green between the autos and the photos. I can't rule out strain as a factor due to my ignorance regarding exposure to strains so perhaps others more experienced could expound on the visual cues that may or may not differentiate between autos and photos.

Granted I have yet to try diesel based herb, but I did work at a self serve gas station in my youth and believe me I was never tempted by the smell. My question is (please don't hate me) what is the alure for the fuel smell/taste? I am put off by the descriptors of theese strains. I have so much to learn.

paddler, many of these descriptions are deadon interpretations of terpene scents within the different strains of cannabis. It can tell you a lot about the smoke, flavor, and effect profile of the plant before you ever smoke it.
Granted "earthy ammonia" sounds better than "cat piss" and "fermenting cabbage" better than "dead skunk's ass", but they like "diesel" indicate some potentially potent cannabis. And those descriptors are often the first thing that pops into your mind.
My wife hates the smell of cannabis, period. If I told her those common descriptors, she would be all the more sure of it's unsuitableness for consumption.

A cautionary word......If you get PH down on your finger don't rub your eye...It hurts like hell

Yeah, gotta watch that stuff. It IS an acid after all.
Best with accidents like these is rinsing the eye with lukewarm water (if it hurts a lot just put under the cold tap right away), keep under the tap and keep the eyelids open. Flushing chemicals away before they can cause too much harm.
Hope the eye's better now

As soon as I relised what I'd done I washed it with plenty of water, all is good now just a little red still
