Yeah the reflectors were the bomb and at the time they were years ahead of the competition.
I just checked out their site, looks like they been in the game since 1977. They own almost 80 % of the greenhouse market. The lights are still ahead of their time.

Great bit of home work Stepside! :D
So PL Lighting was created by Hortilux and they are also the owners of LumiGrow LED lights as well as making Quantum & Sunblaze T5 fixtures and LEC (Light Emitting Ceramic aka CMH (Ceramic Metal halide)) lights.
The only area the don't seem to be working with are LEP (Light Emitting Plasma) like the Gavita Pro series.

lol...
hehehehe art of distraction ... thanks arty ... keep doop on his toes now... hes gonna be expecting a half naked "indian" like jim Morrison lol
forgets to water plants while he waits to clonk me on the head

I dunno but a couple of them lumibars for side lighting would be spectacular but way over budget

Expensive for sure especially when the have an actual draw of 185W.
Your paying for industrial build quality, the IP67 rating and the 5 year warranty.
I recently go rid of my PL ballast, I have had some great grows under HID lights but I am now a full blown LED junky.
Building LED lights is gonna be my new hobby with a couple of new builds planned for later this year.
There seems to be a lot of interest in DIY LED builds these days and hopefully I can build some and sell em on fleabay, for people who can't be bothered to build their own.
Eventually I'd like to go into selling components and kits rather than people having to order them from Australia (Cutter Electronics)
