Its in the ground, to the ground but in more sun. I didn't think about the lil oak sapling i planted getting to be 40 ft tall!

Im sure that i should wait till fall but i need to prepare a spot for it.
man, she will suffer some, but with you touching and reassuring her you got a very good chance, save as much root as you can, and put her in soil that is as close as she was in. If you got some finished compost on hand I'd use it as mulch, keep a good zone for her to recover in.
