We're all off taking a weed nap...

Sure did drink way too much home brew last night, can't believe my posts, I blame running out of smoke, lol. And my glitchy computer quit, borrowing my wife's so my time online is going to be limited. Rain falling river rising, lots of work to keep dogs up on the last of the melting snow drifts and out of the mud. Messy time of year.

Fresh Frozen cannabis extractions
What is Fresh Frozen cannabis resin?
Fresh-FrozenM-1024x576.jpg

Hashish made from fresh frozen buds

Marijuana concentrates are becoming increasingly popular among therapeutical users, especially in the USA, so new techniques are being constantly developed in this field: after the Rosin Tech, we present you here the Fresh Frozen, a high quality solventless concentrate that can be dabbed without problem.

As the name suggests, this hashish is made from fresh frozen plant material, either trim or buds. Right after the harvest – and without drying it – the plant material is frozen for later processing. This technique presents two main advantages: on one hand, the buds/trim are not crumbled as if they were dried, so less plant debris will contaminate our resin. On the other hand, and since we have not dried the buds, trichomes keep more terpenes and their profile is much closer to the live plant.

Drying fresh frozen hashish

How to make Fresh Frozen hashish?
Fresh frozen is a variation on the ice water hash technique, usually performed with collection bags like Ice-O-Lator. We need the same exact materials used for this type of extractions: a bucket, a set of collection bags to isolate and collect the different resin grades, ice cubes, water, and something to stir the mix in case we are not using a washing machine. Since this type of concentrates are extremely sticky, using a silicone skimmer or similar is advised.

Once harvested, put the fresh buds/trim in the freezer for few hours. Removing all fan leaves (those without trichomes) is always recommended. Also, you should try to use small buds; in case you are using large ones, try to break them into smaller pieces.

freshFlowersM-870x1024.jpg

Fresh frozen plant material ready for the extraction process

Meanwhile, put your bubble hash bags inside the bucket and fill it with water and ice cubes.

Once the plant material is frozen, put it in the bucket and gently stir the mix for a few minutes (3-10 minutes for the first run). As happens with the traditional ice water technique, try not to be too aggressive and do not use electric devices like blenders, since they greatly increase the chances to contaminate our resin with plant debris.

froShakeM-716x1024.jpg

Fresh frozen extraction process

Once done, remove the bag with the ice cubes and the buds. You can keep it for a second run or to make butter and cook these delicious cannabis muffins. Collect your different resin grades and leave them to dry. To make this process easier, you can leave the bag in the freezer for some minutes and use a frozen spoon to collect the resin. In this way, resin is frozen and thus much easier to handle.

frosechageM-1024x710.jpg

Fresh frozen resin ready to dry

The last step is drying our resin for some days, after which it acquires a translucent appearance. To keep the terpenes as intact as possible, drying the resin in a cool and dry place is advised; connoisseurs often dry it and store it in the fridge.

good posts arty, I'll have to come back for a thorough read

Know this one's not for everyone, but I really like them. If you're looking for something different to toss on the grill one night. Not necessarily for someone looking for a hamburger tasting, leaner substitute. But rather have their own unique, turkey goodness taste to 'em.

Grilled Turkey Burgers:
1-1/2 pounds 93% Lean Ground Turkey
4 whole Green Onions, sliced and chopped
1 clove Fresh Garlic, pressed through a garlic press or minced well
1/2 a 8 ounce brick of Monterrey Jack Cheese, grated
1/4 cup {heaping} Fresh Bread Crumbs, or use your favorite!
1/4 cup coarse grained Dijon Mustard
A couple pinches of Kosher Salt
Lots of fresh ground Black Pepper
Olive Oil for grill grates

I had some time between prepping and throwing on the grill, so I also let a little Worcestershire soak in while they were waiting. Two of them turned out to be too many...usually eyes aren't bigger than my stomach, but couldn't clear the plate tonight. :)

In the past few days, have posted a few articles on Solventless extraction methods, does anyone have any solventless extrations or water extraxtion pics they wanna share(It's gotta be solventless!) dry sift, water hash, dry ice sift, rosin etc are cool. Any BHO's go in the BHO thread:yeah:

@Elvis hows the RC car coming along ? love to see some more updates, anyone else gotta RC car, boat, plane, copter or drone? Love to see some pics plus video if you gottem.

I've also decided to bite the bullet, although I still need a dimmable driver for my cob and could do with another fan speed controller for my PC server case grow, I have decided to start a grow in it. I still think the COB is too bright so will have to find a way of shading the seedling until I get a new driver.
I am gonna germ a "Amnesia Stone" bean from the "Autoflower Portal" here is some details on this strain.

Amnesia Stone
Amnesia-Stone-autoflowering-seeds-2016-Autoflower-Portal-510x680.jpg
Here’s one for the hippie in all of us. Amnesia Stone has an extremely hard hitting high beginning with a strong headband effect which then fades to a beautifully soothing, long lasting stone.
Amnesia Stone is extremely potent complex hybrid between Moby Dick, Jack Herer and Black Stone.

This very special plant is a great strain for washing away the stresses of the day, and relieving pain throughout the body. Amnesia Stone seems to clear your mind of all thought giving you time to truly relax and enjoy being a part of this space.

Aroma may vary in different grow stages: Diesel, Earthy, Floral, Pine, Hash, Skunk, Citrus, Lemon, Incense, Woody, Minty

Medical benefits: pain relief, insomnia, anti-depressant.

Filled with flavour Amnesia Stone has a light blossom aroma reminding one of a summer meadow finishing with a sweet orange and melon bouquet which lingers on the tongue.
Sadly this strain is out of stock, if anyone was interested in trying it. The Autoflower Portal is where Dragons live, so why not give them a go instead!

For anyone who hasn't seen my cab build, it is an old PC server tower 63cm tall by 19cm widw and 39cm deep, modern server towers have quite a bit more space.
The build includes a DIY COB LED, DIY Micro carbon filter, twin 120mm 230v ac fans, intake fan has a carbon screen & Hepa filter, outake fan has the micro carbon filter. Both fans will have fan speed controllers (still need to buy another)and eventually when funds allow a dimmable driver for the COB LED.
Here's some pics
DSCN2700 (FILEminimizer).JPG
DSCN2703 (FILEminimizer).JPG

This is the case with the COB lit up and a pic of the COB & Micro carbon filter.
I will be starting a grow journal and detailing the build of the grow case, the cob & the micro carbon filter as well as the grow it's self. Anyone who wants to join me for the ride are more than welcome. This is something totally new for me and will present some challenges as I haven't ever had to go so small.
Does anyone else have any DIY projects, builds etc they wanna share, if you do post em up, we'd sure love to see em.
