Penguins p-p-p-p-p-pick a joke
Real penguins have been recruited to choose the famous jokes on Penguin chocolate biscuit bars, if you believe those saucy sods at McVitie’s.
They’ve worked with keepers at Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Waterto experiment with a number of ways to gauge the favourite jokes of the birds - including playing them over speakers and letting the penguins gravitate towards their favourite, or telling the penguins jokes ‘in person’ to see which get the biggest, and most positive, reaction.
Testing is reportedly going very well, with the penguins showing a natural aptitude for choosing the funniest jokes due to their social personalities.
